Almost 5 years ago we adopted our pup from the shelter. He was 9 years old and had been there a week already. The staff and volunteers clearly knew him well, and had gone to great lengths to care for him knowing he might not get adopted as a senior pet. They had groomed him, socialized him, sang his praises, and had loved on him well. We went coincidentally on an adoption event day and didn't have to pay a dime. They provided a leash, collar, treats, and food to get us through the next few days. Scout was with us up until the end this past weekend, and Williamson county animal center is where it all started ❤️

We went in one evening before closing just to get a look at the dogs. We were impressed with the animal center, the kindness of the staff, and the care and attention of the volunteers. The volunteer and the staff person, Kelsey, listened to our daughter and what she was hoping to find in her companion. And they were able to assist her in finding a dog that would be a suitable match and a great companion. We had no idea that we would be leaving with a dog that day, but we did. The process was smooth and easy. We were provided everything we needed for him including food, treats, toys, and even a crate. Less than a month later we received a call and an email about the free pet training classes they were offering to help make the adoption a smooth transition for you and the dog. Over a course of 6 weeks, we had weekly training lessons with Kelsey and 4 other owners and their dogs. Truly a gift. Speaks volumes of how they want each adoption to be successful. Our daughter is loving her companion and we are grateful to Kelsey and all the team at Williamson County Animal Center. Highly recommend checking them out when considering adoption.

Adopted a dog from here just over a year ago. Process was smooth and easy. We were provided everything we needed for him including food, treats, blankets and a crate if needed. Running an animal shelter is hard work and the volunteers do the best they can. Every animal’s life saved is worth it. Thanks!

I’ve read through some of the bad reviews and did not have the same experience at all. Ive been to a few shelters and volunteered at one in my home town and none are as nice as this. The environment is clean and all the volunteers/staff are nice. Meg helped us today and was so sweet and patient with the dogs. She worked with my now adopted dog to sit and wait and did a great job. They even let me keep my adopted dog there (for a fee) to come back the next day to pick her up while I moved. I love my Nala (previous name holly) and can’t wait to get her home 🥰

I took my cat to get spayed because they were the cheapest option. Their facilities and staff, however, were top of the line! Everything looked and smelled clean and recently renovated. Staff was friendly and accommodating of my extra request. Scheduling couldn’t have been simpler using Sign Up Genius. No mountains of paperwork. My cat’s surgery went without complication, and she never appeared to be in any distress. They also trimmed her claws for free, something that is so hard for me to do. Would give 6 stars if I could. So grateful to have this wonderful place in my community.

Brand New, Beautifully well kept center! The Dogs are well trained and behaved since they rarely bark while you stroll by their cages. The Staff and Volunteers do a Great Job there as far as walking the animals and working with them so that they will all be ideal in a forever home! Those animals are blessed! The Cats have huge Catios with sunshine to enjoy. The dogs have very large outdoor enclosures to run, play, romp, explore, play in the pools and there is always plenty of food and fresh water for all. It was a joy to see the happy animals at this Center. These animals have a great chance of being placed since the workers can share so much about each pet being able to answer questions well. If you live in the area and are wanting a Pet please look here. Each cat is Spayed/Neutered and comes with a 3 month supply of flee/tick meds and the fee is $50. Very reasonable. I didn’t inquire about the dog cost. Regardless the price. You would feel very confident leaving with a dog from this location. I love adoption over buying. There are so many wonderful animals that need a home at all shelters.
