Description We Designed Our Facility By Focusing on Fear-Free Practice Standards. In 2016, Dr. Cheryl Sammons and South Animal Hospital completed a total remodel of our building at 137 Alpha Drive in Franklin. This project had an overall focus on Fear-Free Practice. Dr. Sammons had an Animal Arts Architecture Firm out of Boulder, Co design the hospital with design layout, client-patient flow, ventilation, wall insulation, and flooring system. Aspects such as odor control, calming scent / pheromone rooms/wards, and color palettes are infused into our facility.

Love this vet! They make our sweet rescue pup feel completely at ease during visits and clearly have a deep love and respect for animals. Dr. Sammons gives great advice & never rushes through visits. The staff there are amazing. So glad we found this place!:)

My dog absolutely hated this place. If you leave your dog here to be boarded please ask for pictures/video to make sure your pet is actually walked three times a day as they are obligated to. They should have NO problem with this request. I won't be using them ever again.

I don’t even want to give this place a star at all. ( I called today to ask about how much it would cost to bring in my dog for vaccines and the lady told me she can’t quote prices over the phone. Ok so I asked how much for an office visit. She said the same thing. So I asked well how am I supposed to know if I can afford it or not and she hung up on me. So I will let everyone know not to bother calling and don’t waste your time. Rude and disrespectful receptionist.

What a wonderful veterinary practice!! Our nervous and anxious rescue dog Nash was terrified of vet visits. He had several painful surgeries after being hit by a car. The fear-free environment at SFAH helped all of us get through a successful visit! Thanks Jasmine and Dr. Sammons!! 💕🐾

I have been going to SFAH for years and have always received excellent care for our pets. It's wonderful that Dr. Sammons and her staff know the personalities of each of our 5 animals.

We moved to Franklin, TN two years ago with our senior Shih Tzu, Maddie and quickly fell in love with Dr. Sammons and her team. They promote preventive care and really focus on understanding your pet's specific personality and needs. With their Wellness Plan, I have saved thousands of dollars on care that my dog needs at this stage in her life (dental cleanings, x-rays, more frequent vet visits, etc.) We also use their boarding services and I have peace of mind leaving Maddie in their hands. I feel like they care about my dog as much as I do, and that means the world to me and my husband. SFAH is the best and I'd recommend them to anyone is the area with a pet!
