These guys are rude and absolutely hate animals. I almost hit a dog running around in the road last night so I pulled over and it just hopped right into my car. It's obviously lost because it is well-groomed, healthy, and the rabies tags onthe collar are only 2 months old. So I brought it to the humane society and they referred me to animal control since it was outside city limits. Animal Control basically stuck their nose up because it's the weekend and told me that because it hopped in my car it's now my dog and not their problem, I should have left it in the road. My cats absolutely hate this dog and I can't afford another pet anyway. Animal haters, whoever I spoke to should lose their job, they don't deserve to be in any business related to animals.

Please be aware that Spartanburg county, who reportedly receives grant money for trap, spay/neuter, and release is not offering that service at this time. They tell me it’s because of animal allies, but where is the grant money going? Can’t they partner with any other veterinarian? There has been no real customer service at this department.

I reported my neighbor causing fires and having a loose dog and they say they were going to "send" someone to investigate and I got no response back or seen any changes. Seriously who is hiring these people? They need to be fire too.

I was told I had to buy my own live trap and when it was caught they would spay it and return it to my property. It's a wildcat I don't want and there are more. They don't catch animals and they don't euthanize them. They give you the run around because they are privileged characters that don't do their jobs, and want to make you do their jobs and if you don't they will charge you with animal cruelty. Everyone should just drop off the unwanted animals at their office and let them become over run with ferrel animals then they would be forced to do their jobs.

AC in the county is a joke. Have had a problem in my neighborhood for YEARS. No point in complaining to them, because they don't return calls. I have been told I "need to video an attack before they could do anything,"must have hard evidence," before they will even knock on someone's door and say "several people have complained about your dog, put him up and keep him out of the trash, and other people fences." They haven't even returned calls on complaints made a month ago, to see the "hard evidence." Animal control/cruelty laws are pointless in this county. They aren't enforced anyway. The only time they have done anything is when it involved an old man's chihuahuas. Nevermind the big dogs that have been an issue in the past.

They have always answered the phone and she directs me to the officer in my area. He calls me back. Our neighbor up the street just will not keep all of his dogs leashed or in his fence and they are running the roads and eating all of our cats' food up and down the street, chasing cars and motorcyles, and the female just had another litter of puppies and is starving. I don't blame the animals, but the owner knows better. People have to remember this agency only has 4 officers for ALL the districts in Spartanburg County. That is just not enough to handle all the complaints. They came and picked up feral kittens for me, had them fixed and tagged and dropped back off. At least they are attempting to control the feral cat population in Spartanburg County. Wish the county or state would give them more money to hire more officers and equipment. The whole Spartanburg county is being overrun by loose dogs and feral cats. We all need to work together.
