Owned by Danielle Areco, and like all small local business we face an uphill battle against the big box chains and e-commerce. To stand out from this competition we strive to create an exciting and inviting place for people and their pets to shop locally.

Unfortunately, I had the worst experience with Chico's and Meredith the groomer. I was very much looking forward to having a new, good, groomer close by. But this was not the case. I brought my dog in for a grooming, and she did the worst job. I reached out to management via email explaining what happened and sent photos. I didn't hear back for almost a week. When they did reply, they never acknowledged the issue and just said that I would receive a call from Meredith. To date, I have not received a phone call (3 weeks). I emailed back last week explaining my disappointment with the lack of communication and customer service. Still no response. Very sad. Do not go. Do not get your dog groomed there. In response to your reply... Unfortunately, she is not telling you the truth. The groomer has never contacted me via phone, email or left a voice message. As the store owner, I would think you would want to be in the know and responsible for everything that happens in your store. Every employee and/or contractor is a reflection of your business.

Extremely kind, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. My dog was treated like a celebrity on his visit there, showered with praises and treats. WONDERFUL locally owned small business with a unique selection of treats, food, toys, and decor for dogs, cats, fish, and small animals. One of the only local freshwater fish selections in the area too!

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!. If i could give a -5 star review i would. 1 star is way too much. I decided to check it out to try and support a local small business but the experience went south really quick. Female Employee that “assisted” me quickly decided that only her opinion matters when it comes to the care of any pet. And after a few seconds of meeting me…she decided that I was a horrible owner. I asked for an explanation of certain items and all she did was go on a rant about her opinions on pet care and what pets should not be sold. Id show her how my dog is living his best life but i honestly never wanna see her again. Zero customer service skills and zero common sense of how to talk to people.

I've upgraded my aquarium to a much larger one and was looking for a better fish store that was a local business instead of the chains. Went to Chico's today. Nice store, however very limited on freshwater fish. But they did have some nice angel fish. The lady there, very nice - but VERY chatty - after a while talking, said I needed to come back in 2 days because she's not able to sell fish...only some guy who was off today. Not sure the point of having fish, if you can't sell them. Disappointed, but found Splashy, much better selection and spent $300. I tried to support this local store, but couldn't sadly.

What a headache. I wanted to check this store out of curiosity. I needed water conditioner for my aquatic turtles tank. I was looking at three bottles that seemed very similar, making the mistake of asking a question on 'what was the difference?'. The store owner proceeded to give me a lengthy, condescending response about how she doesn't enable the selling of turtles, talked down to me about my caretaking, and ended the response angrily throwing her hands up. I'm not sure why I received an emotional response from asking a question about a product. Don't go.

We took our pet in to find a treat for his birthday and he had a great time! The owner was so kind and friendly and really made the day special for us / him. This place really is a local gem!
