Dr. L. Gomez is thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She patiently answered all of my zillion questions. I took my dog to Fort Hunt Animal Hospital after her limp continued to get worse. Dr. Gomez took her time explaining everything to me and kept me updated throughout the day while she sedated my dog to do tests. When I went to pick up my dog LaLa, Dr. Gomez reviewed all the x-rays and information from the exam and prepared a thorough discharge packet. I trust her with my dogs life and am confident that my dog is getting the best care.
Very happy with the care our Chocolate Lab, Wrigley received at Ft. Hunt Animal Hospital. Our veterinarian explained everything to us, did not push us into any decisions and gave us some wonderful advice and ideas. We are very thankful for the great service we received.
We took in our new puppy for his first vet visit. The staff was friendly and helpful. The doctor took all the time necessary to fully answer all of our questions and made several helpful suggestions.
I highly recommend Ft. Hunt Animal Hospital. I have used Ft. Hunt for years for two previous dogs and received excellent service. They are caring and understanding and compassionate. I now have a sheepadoodle that is a rescue and who hates the vet! He would not allow the vet or tech to touch him. On the third visit they sedated him to perform the exam and neuter him - even though they were unable to exam him previously. They never charged me for the two previous appointments. In addition, he was very matted and clearly uncomfortable. After neutering him, they shaved him and found a skin infection which was clearly the cause of his discomfort. In addition to the meds associated with the neutering, we received antibiotics and a medicated shampoo to treat the skin infection. Our dog still hates the vet, but Ft. Hunt ensures that he gets an exam and anything that is needed is addressed. I don't know what other vets would do, but I will continue to go to Ft. Hunt as long as I have dogs.
Best animal hosptial in the area! I've been to several animal hospitals in the Mt. Vernon area, and this is the best one by far! No surprise expenses and great customer service.
For many years, we and our daughter, have trusted our pets' care to Fort Hunt Animal Hospital. Cats, dogs, and our most recent adopted puppy. Always careful, caring - no reason to ever change! They are the best!,
