The entire staff at EMMA Vet are so kind and welcoming. Our Luna girl received the best care and kindness from Dr. German, Shannon, Taryn and everyone we came across for an urgent evaluation to make sure she was going to be okay. Even after our visit, we appreciated the follow up asking how Luna is doing. We loved our visit so much so we decided to make EMMA Vet our primary moving forward!!

Absolutely the best. Dr. Wootton genuinely cares for our five cats and treats them as her own. Everyone on the staff loves animals and offers the best customer service. The office is bright and welcoming for both humans and animals alike. I can’t recommend EMMAvet enough — they have my full trust and confidence!

Perhaps the most difficult review for me to write because I ultimately lost my beautiful giant on our one and only trip to EMMAvet, but I don’t blame them for that. My dog’s health was failing rapidly and he went in to shock by the time I got him to the clinic. They were honest and upfront about care and costs. They helped me get my 185lb dog out of the vehicle when he couldn’t move on his own. When they told me he was past resuscitation, they remained level headed in their recommendations when I lost all composure at the news. They let me hold him through the whole thing and didn’t rush me out afterwards. I probably sat in their patient’s room crying for over an hour before I felt okay to drive. I’m glad they helped me through a very difficult time and made my beautiful baby’s passing as peaceful as possible.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting EMMAvet, and I must say, it was an amazing experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in the door. They actually came out to our vehicle since our pet was afraid to get out of the vehicle. They were all so knowledgeable and attentive to my pet's needs, which really made me feel at ease. The clinic itself was very clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus when it comes to any sort of medical facility. The exam rooms were also comfortable. The veterinarian and staff we saw were simply fantastic. They took the time to answer all questions and concerns, and they was incredibly patient with my pet when it came time for the examination. Overall, I would highly recommend EMMAvet. The staff truly go above and beyond to ensure that both pets and their owners feel comfortable and well-cared for. No one wants to think about it, but when your sweet elderly dog takes a really fast turn for the worse during a holiday weekend when your usual vet is closed, EMMAvet, Ella, and the whole team were amazing. First time end of life care for a beloved pet is difficult and information is hard to find. Ella answered my call and was super helpful and understanding. They saw us right away and were waiting at the door to help us. They had an unexpected and lovely process and options to say goodbye. Our girl had a full 15 years of life, and on a difficult day for the family, EMMAvet is now a positive part of our memories. Thank you.

I started taking my cat here after my previous vet moved. Dr. Wootton is great! She's personable and patient and willing to answer questions, no matter how dumb they might be. The assistants/techs are also very friendly and treat my cat well. BUT THEIR URGENT CARE IS A JOKE. I've called twice when I had an emergency and both times the receptionist was extremely rude and impatient. They couldn't see me but instead of being polite about it, she just snapped "no, the doctor is in surgery," said she'd send a list of referrals and hung up before I could even say anything. I wasn't about to demand to be seen, but isn't this place meant to be an urgent care too? Why only was there only ONE vet on staff during their urgent care hours? Also, how about saying "I'm sorry, the vet is seeing another emergency and can't take any other patients today. Here are some other vets we recommend" instead of trying to rush me off the phone? I hope they get their staffing problem resolved because I hate having to drive to Springfield (or even further!) for urgent/emergent visits.
