This place was a blast and great for a birthday party! The puppies were absolutely adorable and playful. It was cute to watch the kids play with them. All the puppies were well behaved although the staff warned us puppies are puppies and accidents can happen. The staff were all very friendly and gave a speech in the beginning on the do's and don'ts of puppy handling. The were very attentive to the inevitable accident by the puppies. They let us decorate before hand and managed the time well. I'd highly recommend them for kids birthday parties AND for adopting your next puppy!!

amazing organization! i foster and have adopted from ODHS and have had nothing but great experiences. the volunteers are super helpful and always quick to reach out if i i ever have a problem/question about a dog. the dogs are well taken care of and i am so happy to be able to help out :)

The moment I saw her precious face I fell in love with her. The staff at ODHR was helpful, welcoming, and caring. A while later I returned to adopt my second sweet doggie. I feel blessed and grateful.

Just got my puppy there a little over a week ago. We looked at all of their pups on pet finder first and then went in two different times and met the puppies & did meet and greets with our dog when we were deciding between two pups. They are very flexible with that kind of stuff. 🙂 we were able to go into a small fenced in grassy area with our dog and the puppies one at a time and take as much time as we needed! Didn’t feel rushed or like they were hovering over us. Great experience! We love our new addition to our family! Thank you Old dominion for all of the animals you save and help get to loving homes! Our Sadie girl will have the best life and be FURever loved :)

I was there for a grandchild's birthday party. The birthday boy picked the first puppy and then others were released. Adults and children both enjoyed being with the puppies, and it was fun to see their energy and playfulness. The staff were helpful, attentive, and responsive (i.e., an accident). As one staff member mentioned, it's a great way for the puppies to socialize and get used to people. For guests, it's an opportunity to see and play with them, and possibly take one home. A fun time!
