I guess the place is necessary, but I HATE kill shelters. They are heartbreaking, and on this set of visits, smelly, dirty places. But, I had a missing dog and had to look. It's the only place I go to adopt now. Save a life!!

Always enjoy working with the people there at animal care and control. I’m an independent rescuer and they’ve always been very helpful to me and I greatly appreciate it and I know they have a hard job to do and I wish them all well.

Evansville Animal Control put a dog down who's owner had just died. He had a foster home lined up but these people killed him. "Evansville Animal Control said it was unaware Stanley had a home lined up, WEVV reported. The facility told the station it is closed on Sundays and does its Monday euthanizations before staff members begin answering phones." How many excuses do you have?

One male staff member was very kind and helpful. The others not so much. They are obsessed with enforcing rules even when it makes no sense. I was elated after finding our missing cat but the woman put me thru hell as I spent 30 minutes trying to prove that he belonged to me. If they had been reasonable and let me hold my cat, it would've been obvious that he was mine.

I just read about stanley they put him down without listening to there voicemails about him going to a foster home on monday shame on this POS shelter it should be closed down period!!!
