Everyone who helped us adopt Bucky was amazing. His caretaker offered plenty of information on him which helped us make our decision! It was a little rough the first couple of months (his leg was amputated, so he was learning how to do do everything again.), but now we cannot imagine life without him. The Humane Society holds a special place in our hearts for helping us take home our lil’ man.

Fabulous people, very clean shelter and they helped adopt adopt Scooter who had been handed over by previous family after his owner died. Scooter was so upset and he lived with a great foster for VHS. He has flourished into a cute teddy bear and very happy soul. He is not a young fella but is living his best life and we are so glad to see him happy again!

Usually I never have a problem people are always nice but as we bent down to look at a dog we were very rudely interrupted by an employee yelling at us to not put our hand in the kennel and that we are to talk to an employee if we wanna mess with a dog. We understand we were to keep our fingers out but this dog was extremely friendly and we literally had bent down for five seconds. I’ve never had a problem before messing with dogs that were friendly there. Everyone has allowed us to mess with them until this one girl. She was EXTREMELY rude and the treatment was unnecessary! She has no right to talk to people of her age that are customers the way she did. Fix your attitude.

I took in a community cat for a neuter non aggressive not feral in any way upon arrival I was told I had to put him in a raccoon trap. I would never had thought they would have neutei him and shoved him back in a trap where he could not stand up and forced to lay in his urine and blood until the next day. Went I voiced my concern and recommended changes could be made I was told I would no longer be able to bring any pets in for service. So $300 later after taking to my vet he had excessive bruising a infection and 7 days later he still reeks of urine after a bath. Was told community cats are not sweet house cats I guess they just treat them like trash not HUMANE I AM REACHING OUT TO CITY OFFICAILS TO TRY AND IMPLICATE CHANGED WOULD NOT RECOMEND THERE COMMUNITY CATEFOR ANY ANIMAL STRAIGHT Barbaric

I adopted a puppy less 3 months old. She was spayed I payed 250.00 adoption fees. All I got was a pup full of worms and no vaccinations. I had to pay for all the puppy shots dewormer. I’ve always been a big advocate to adopt not shop. But my experience is not good

Awesome place for animal care and services in addition to their thrift shop. Wonderful group of people and I enjoy volunteering there.
