We visited cat cafes and looked in pet stores but we found our lovely lady here at safe. It may not be as fancy as a cat cafe, but you can see the cats anytime at no charge, and they are very loved and everyone there is warm and helpful. A couple weeks after adopting her, she developed a small upper respiratory infection, and they gave us some antibiotics for her and were very helpful. Thank you Patricia and Karen!
Wonderful place supporting an even more wonderful cause. Beautiful people with massive hearts. I’ve never met so many sweet and gentle little hippos (pit mixes). Makes me so sad that no one wants to give them love and a forever home but at least they are S.A.F.E. now. I so wish I could take them ALL. I love this rescue and also often find great treasures at the thrift store. 🥹❤️🩹🐾
Update:S.A.F.E. Pet rescue contacted us last night and they were very apologetic and ready to reimburse us Ronin’s medical bills. Luckily his brother Stash(Who’s name will be changed shortly) had been returned. Since they are a none profit we did not want to take money away from them. So we asked for his brother and agreed that everything was settled. Ronin was so happy to see his brother. They have not stopped playing 🐈⬛ ❤️ 🐈⬛ I adopted a kitten on Sat 8/26/23. While at the shelter my kitten had a brother with a noticeable soar on his paw. We asked about it and we’re told the kittens who were free roaming with all the other cats had been treated for ringworm. 4 days after getting my kitten home his hair started falling out with red soars. We took him to our vet and they confirmed that he still has ringworm and was highly contagious! I have called the stores and the website number multiple times. Nobody has called me back. I messaged their Facebook to ask it they would reimburse me his medical bills and possibly give me his brother who obviously also still has ring worms so they could go through treatment and quarantine together. Mind you it is a 4-6 week quarantine. They ignored my reimbursement question and have only responded that his brother who’s name was Stash had been adopted by someone else! I hope whoever you are they contacted you about the ringworm that is highly contagious to other animals as well as people and is spread through spores which means every cat that is currently in their cat area could be infected. You could catch ringworm just by visiting their facility at this time. It has been almost a week and I don’t appreciate the lack of response or responsibility from S.A.F.E. everyone has a busy schedule including me. Beware
I just love this thrift store. The people who work here are kind, there are many amazing finds, and the prices are good and reasonable. It also supports a great cause. Definitely check it out!
We recently adopted our fur baby from SAFE. The people were so friendly and helpful. I especially want the thank Brian who talked with us about our fur baby Jerry and confirmed we were making a great decision. I could tell he meant a lot to Brian. Jerry will be spoiled rotten. He has his own patio chair and loves his new family 🥰🥰
This is a lovely thrift store with a great purpose! They have a wide variety of gently used items avaliable, the prices are inexpensive, and the proceeds go to helping pets. I found some household items I needed and felt good knowing where my money was going. I highly recommend visiting this thrift store. It's conveniently located and easy to access. The staff is friendly and you can even bring your dog in with you!
