Caring, necessary services here. All volunteer and no profit. Donate if you drop off and donate when you can ❤️ The possum babies I left in their care had no chance without them. Thankful they are there.
Even though the owner was out of town she was still willing to help an injured Canadian Goose that was hit by a car. She had a volunteer meet us at her rescue to help the injured bird. They are passionate about helping wild life and we are grateful to have such a facility.
What a big deception, I'm feeling very frustrated. I found one Opossum injured in my yard. I called this place and have just one machine. I grab the animal myself and drive 45 minutes to this place, arriving there what I found?? It was one total abandoned place. Looks like no body go there for so long time.. The yard is full of empty crate and they don't have one animal or person there. I just come back home with the animal and I gave to him the first aid care and left him go. As an ex volunteer of SPCA Wildlife of Bay Area California, I know what that animal was in need but I'm not able to give him without a professional orientation. YOU CAN IMAGINE MY FEELING?! Google and called so many places and zero help. I just moved to Jacksonville from California and I don't know well here. But I'm feeling so sad.
WRC is severely underfunded and is always in need of donations and volunteers but still manages to save almost 2,000 animals every year! They do the best they can with what little they are given. They are in need of supplies, cages, food, money, and at least 1/2 an acre more of land. If you can help in anyway please contact them!
These people must be aliens because humans are not this awesome. They will help your baby squirrel named Amos learn to be a real squirrel with other squirrels. Plus other native creatures but I was mainly just here for the squirrels. But seriously, if you have a native critter that needs help try to be awesome too and call these people. They will help.
Found and baby rat (which I thought was a squirrel) that needed help. Called and left a message on a Sunday and received a call back in less than 20 minutes. The ladies I was in contact with were very informative about care and seemed to genuinely care about helping the baby. I was able to keep the baby safe and warm until I was able to meet up with the volunteer. You guys have inspired my wife and I to consider volunteering in the future.
