We adopted a dog from here and I must say the staff is great. We came in with an idea of what we were looking for and they were able to match us up to a wonderful dog. Thanks to businesses in the community, they were able to give us things (toys, a bed, etc) to take home with our new dog. The price included their vaccinations and spaying/neutering. If you are looking to adopt a rescue, I highly suggest you take a look at them.

We adopted Luna. She is 7yoa Chihuahua mix. The staff at St. Johns County Pet Center was very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. They took the time to take us to see all of the dogs and took a couple out for a walk and into the play area. Once we decided to adopt, the process was explained thoroughly, including cost and Luna's upcoming spay appointment. Thank you for a good experience and for caring for so many animals until they are adopted.

Wife has been wanting to get a kitten so stopped in to see what they had. Ended up adopting two litter mates. Facility is very clean and the staff is great.

Was looking to buy a pure bred Boxer but couldn't find anything acceptable. Came here on my birthday and found THE BEST DOG EVER. Super smart and well intentioned. Spent $45 instead of $1,200. Think he's a Patterdale Terrier. Awesome addition to the family.

This is a wonderful adoption center. Everyone there was very nice. You could tell that they really care about the animals. It's great that they offer a senior discount.
