DO NOT COME HERE. They will charge you ridiculous fees for treatments that did not happen. My dog has recurring ear infections. We wanted to refill his medication and they refused without an appointment. Fair. But when we got a bill for $250 for a recurring issue, I was shocked and disappointed. We were charged a “medical exam” in addition to the ear exam. What was the medical exam, we will never know because it did not happen. When asked what the medical exam was for, I was told to see the doctor. Did we not have to see the doctor for the ear exam? He just came in for his annual two months ago, so what was done in this “exam”. Did not check eyes, coat, teeth, etc. so we were literally charged for NOTHING. The vet checked his ears, confirmed what we all already knew, then proceeded to charge us $250. We will never return. I recommend asking exactly what they plan to do and at what cost before bringing your pet in.

Our English lab, Hunter, LOVED the Bluebonnet staff. They were so friendly and efficient. Hunter's paws have been itching him from allergies. The Bluebonnet team was really helpful in explaining everything to us and provided Hunter with his a shot in no time, providing him immediate relief. A quick trip and a great experience! Thanks, Bluebonnet Team!

I took my 12 year old cat here for dental surgery, and I had a lot of anxiety about having to put her under and her after care treatment. Dr. Vela and Dr. Miller were both top notch in helping to relieve my anxiety. I have appreciated how thorough and caring they have been through this process. I would recommend these two vets to anyone if you’re looking for a vet in this area!

This one is really hard for me. I want to give 5 as I love this place, and I am on my 3rd dog and 2nd cat with them. In the last year, I guess another vet has taken over, which is what I was told. My dog has been getting allergy shots for over 5 years with them, no big deal. I take him up there, and they take him in the back, give them his almost $200 shot, and we leave. All of a sudden, last year, they started giving me so much grief about this shot. Wanting to charge an office fee "because the new vet didn't know if he would have a reaction, and because he hadn't been in almost a year." For 5 YEARS, he's gotten the same shot. Give me a break. The next month, I did his annual spent hundreds and was told this wouldn't happen again. Just over 6 months later, they again gave me grief because now "they hadn't seen him in 6 months. " Finally, they gave it to him, but my dog severely had to suffer due to their nickel and diming. Took him last week, and for the first time in a year, they didn't give me grief. I really love this place, but this has ticked me off to no end. I'll raise the stars if they stop being ridiculous. He had his fur before this and never gets this bad, becausehe alwaysgets his shot as needed. Y'all really need to do better! This is not ok.

We were visiting Austin from Scottsdale and our 16 year old dog became ill. We visited the clinic and got appropriate treatment. While there, the tech and Vet mentioned an injectable medication called Librela for severely arthritic, older dogs. When we returned to Scottsdale and had a follow up visit with our Vet, we mentioned Librela and the Vet agreed it was worth trying. Librela is a pain blocker and I have to say, it has been like winding the clock back 2-3 years. Our dog was at a point where every step was carefully considered and he moved really slow. Now, he's almost hard to catch and his quality of life seems much improved. Thank you BlueBonnet Animal Hospital for the great suggestion!
