I can't say enough good things about this charity and the folks that work here. My company partner with different charities to drive donations and we chose Austin Pets Alive this year and for the foreseeable future. Nigel and the team are awesome and really care about these animals. They even brought puppies to one of our events at the convention center so we could attempt to drive adoptions. Thank you for all you do for these dogs and cats.

This no-kill shelter is absolutely wonderful. The matchmakers, volunteers, behavioral specialists, and vet clinic professionals really care about and love all of the beautiful animals here. They are incredibly accommodating and exceptionally nice to work with. They depend on people to foster in order to bring in more pets that could be euthanized elsewhere. Visit them today and you could be taking home the perfect furry friend within hours! 🖤.

I've adopted my third pet from here. This company is so wonderful and they work very hard to take care of and find good homes for our animals. I'm so grateful for them.

We found a great puppy for our 2 year old daughter. We named her Sugar. She is almost 4 months old. Ask for Katy when you check in. It took much more time to have her spayed there.

My family and I had a wonderful visit to APA with the intention of adopting a kitten. We had a two year old cat choose us instead and we couldn’t be happier! The adoption process was so seamless and also very informative. I recommend anyone in the Austin area to consider adopting either felines or canines from this amazing shelter.

I went there to donate blankets, towels and bedding for the animals. Which I had washed in sensitive skin laundry detergent and all folded and ready for use. When we arrived one young lady helped us to get the items out. They put them in an area with no Shelter to it and was disappointing that all the hard work I did in making sure all was washed and neatly folded and ready for use was left to sit out in the weather. Understand they are a non profit and work strictly off donations and people's time. So with that if there are any contractors out there who could spare some time time and some materials to help get a better situation for that it would be highly appreciated. The people like the young lady who helped me was a. Very kind and hard working young lady who cares and so we just need some more to care.
