I first just want to say that I do not live in Guilford county. However after finding their adoption center online I made the drive. I have visited and researched a lot of places and this facility was amazing. I adopted my new family member and best friend this past weekend from them and the experience and atmosphere was amazing. All the pets I saw during our visit seemed to be happy and most importantly healthy. I have fallen in love with my rescue because he has rescued me. The staff at this shelter treated myself and my disabled mother with the best of care and respect. I will recommend them to any one I know that is looking to adopt a best friend. Thank you again for you service!
We had a great experience, when we have to surrender our cats on an emergency basis...we filled out the form on Saturday evening they called me on Sunday early morning and gave an appointment on Tuesday...they even helped me from car to the shelter bc one of the cat accidentally ran away under the car... It's been 10 days and 1 of our cats got adopted and 2 are up for adoption on the website... These people are very nice!
Shame on y’all for not picking up the phone. Like??? I see a stray dog and want to get it some help but y’all don’t wanna answer the phone???
The agents and officers of GC Animal Control have been wonderful to deal with. I've been dealing with a neighbor who allows his animals to bark uncontrollably throughout the day with no intervention on his part. These animals have interrupted my workday countless times as well as they have driven potential customers away from working with me because of the noise levels. This has been going on for nearly a year now and after numerous approaches with the neighbor, I finally asked AC to step in as nothing was being resolved and the barking, along with other aggressive behaviors, were being allowed to continue. Every time I have reached out, they have been very professional, responsive, understanding, kind, and helpful. I truly appreciate the difficult work these people do for the county.
HORRIBLE!!! My neighbors and I called them multiple times about the big pibulls in our neighborhood running loose. They attack people and pets and AC does nothing! I called today because one of the pit bulls attacked my chihuahua ON MY PROPERTY and left him bleeding from his head his Gravely injured and all the office that came said was that it was my chihuahua fault for provoking the pit bull!???? SEROUSLY!? this was in my property my pet is not aggressive at all and even if that were the case the pit bull has no business entering my property! Ridiculous
I called about a freezing kitten. They wouldn’t come said no room at shelter leave the kitten it won’t freeze, cats are adaptable. I had two cats freeze to death when growing up , my Dad forgot to let them in. They were frozen on our porch… I think they just don’t want to work: laziness but still getting the support from county taxes; actually I called High Point’s animal control and that’s what was said. The city citizens pay taxes for this service. Fire them and hire someone who wants to EARN their pay for ACTUALLY DOING THEIR JOB!!!! Our communities are in trouble with the likes of these employees!
