The River of Life is a place where you can get help turning over your life if you really want it. God has His hand in the work being done here. The New Life Program has helped me change my life and help me to learn what it means to put God first. Truly to be where I feel my life has purpose and meaning is what life really is.

Very helpful with getting you back on track with you life. Good place to save money and or pay down debt. Staff is good. Management of the staff is lacking communication and this leads to different rules depending on which team is on duty. Still a difficult situation I'm sure. When you have guests who are grown men sometimes behaving like children staff must treat them like children. Guests will then act like they're in prison or entitled to a hotel style atmosphere. Staff has their hands full with scheduling alone. Could use better leadership, someone with excellent time management and organizational skills to make things work properly on every shift. All in all I'm grateful for the help Iam getting and a warm safe place to rest my head.Still don't get why guests are never allowed to use the 13th street entrance especially when exiting for the day.

Fun to give left over supplies and food after our church activities. They are so grateful and kind to us.

This place will only improve when they get ride of case manager steve schmell. I was told I had to do a 30 day out for not having a job and CANNOT come back until I have a job. While I also have a disability that limit's me from physical work. The bottom line is they don't care they just have to make there quota of getting homeless people employed even if it means there forced to go get a temp job that may last a few weeks. Sadly I'm tired of religious run shelters. There a hand that give and take and it's spiritually abusive to stay here. Honestly there a curse unto themselves. There is no assisting structure it's just a place to stay and eat short term. Christianity is judged by the fruit and they present as a loving charity but don't have a structured system that helps you they make you abide by there policy's of control. In the end I can see that they or at least Steve schmell doesn't want me here
