I have been going to Animal General for years. They are outstanding in care for your furry loved ones. My family recently had to make the decision of putting our dog to sleep so he wouldn’t suffer from his condition. The hardest decision was received with such care, understanding, and the utmost compassion by the entire team. The care given by Dr. Shea was unconditional and I cannot sum up into more words the gratitude for this transition process of our beloved dog. Thank you Animal General for all that you do. Your services and the care behind it all are immeasurable.

This was my dog's primary vet for over 10 years. I felt that my dog had received good care from the vets at Animal General. The staff were friendly and genuinely caring and so were the vets. This changed recently. I don't know what happened, but now I cannot make appointments as easily and even in an emergency situations, the only answer I got was "sorry. But, you should go to Veterinary Emergency, even when I was crying because my dog was so sick and was almost dying. I ended up taking my dog to VEG at Hoboken and another VEG location where she passed. Billing wise, I felt that it was always on the high side, but not excessively pricey.

Animal General is the best vet we have ever been to. The staff is second to none, they are so warm and take such wonderful care of our dog Bill. We are always able to get last minute emergency appointments which is so comforting to know. The best part of this practice is that the Vet will follow up via call or text to check in and make sure your pet is responding well to any treatment provided. It is so sweet and greatly appreciated. I cannot recommend Animal General enough!
