It’s ok pets-mart between pets marts but some things in general just sad around this company. It’s wild how they almost require you to have this certain things and size of tanks etc to buy be able to buy a fish or a lizard but it’s not about them pets it’s about that money . This is there way to oversell , and it’s ok. We all got to eat but the way they keep pets in there till sm1 will buy them , just so sad. If they so strongly recommend 10 gallon per fish and such a things, pets mart should be leading by example in FIRST PLACE. Let’s be real, pets mart don’t really care about anything else but the profit . That’s a fact . See it for yourself . The bettas really stressed, they look aweful for the most part. Cats aren’t in much better conditions but at least they get adopted relatively fast unlike poor bettas right there. They shouldn’t sell pets they can’t accommodate according to their own expectations! Added: 07/29/2024 Hands down for pets mart for reading these reviews. And do smtng about them if needed. I went today to pets mart and hopefully, bynot seeing any bettas or lizards only mean that they get rehoused according to the company’s expectation towards pet buyers. Because it’s only fair. This world can get better but only if we lead by example. So Lead by example because a well trusted company should be the only type of company we need to support . If you have a choice to choose between making your stores nicer, newer, up to date or make it better for the animals, by giving more space and play areas, choose the animals, because your buyers will keep supporting you even if you sell out of a barn knowing you take care of those pets well. If I would be pets mart, I would built the cages under your shelving units or in a middle way maybe. This way you could give all them pets max space w play areas with toys inside you sell ( visual marketing ) and also would free up more space for you what they currently occupy and make buyers go through ur store just to be able to see your animals. Your adopted pets could be opened to public for anytime emotional support to anyone and that would keep your cats happy while they waiting to be adopted. You could make a kitty coffee ( sell coffee not cat time) to pull in profit to support the extra expenses. Prolly they would be adopted much quicker too, but if not else would make everyone sooo happy but mainly those cats behind the glass that looking just so sad. You would make headlines with that, any that type of marketing comes with aftermath. $$$. Don’t sell sadness or base ur marketing on negative emotion for these pets, sell happiness and good times. Everyone needs that the most no matter where you look. Anyways, u didn’t hire me to reface your company so I won’t get into anymore details, but I can say this. You guys been around long enough to learn about this market and I know you guys can do way better than it is now. Don’t go with a trend of renewing ur stores to traditional up to date models, rather stop and rethink. Be unique , serve the purpose . Pets mart should not be just a pets mart or an other petco. Pets mart could be everyone’s #1 choice, when you give a reason. 08-09-2024 update Was only my wishful thinking that pets mart actually did care for their pets. Nope. The removal of bettas was temporary . They all back on display half dead. See last 2 pictures. So sad to see it. I really thought it’s a company that cares and to support but if you ask me, shop anywhere for your pets but here. Terrible how some animals keys there, non of you can see ?????

I would give it zero if I could. I can’t believe how stupid the workers are at the store. I’m the customer, I pay, you give me your product! It’s laughable they acted they care about the fish trying to talk me out of buying their goldfish because I don’t have a proper tank or pond. It’s ironic they would sell those 40-cent comet goldfish as food source for other pets. Today one worker even told me the goldfish on display was not for sale. I figured he knows me from last week because I asked him about the goldfish and he discouraged me to buy one because he said the fish I wanted needs a 200-gallon tank when the display tank clearly says only “10 gallons” is required. It’s the weirdest experience I’ve ever had being a customer. They probably think they would gain respect from people by showing they care about the welfare of their fish, in fact, I find their “non-profit” business idea quite idiotic and laughable. Their fish toys are more expensive than the actual live goldfish, I bet they won’t blink an eye selling you a fish toy or a $300 fish tank but they discourage you to buy a $3.45 goldfish which is worth significantly less. It’s so obvious they know they don’t make much profit selling a goldfish less than $10, but will make so much more money if they tell you that you have to buy a gigantic, expensive fish tank in order to have the fish you want. After I left PetStupid today, I bought a 20-gallon storage container for $8 at target for my goldfish.

I am very dissatisfied with the service Vs the grooming payment for my dog. Initially I had set aside 81 dollars for grooming, bath, nails, other things and an extra service of 12 dollars for my dog. Being aware that I had knots, not many enough for me to arrive at the store and the woman who served me told me that I must pay 20 dollars more so that they untangle my chest hair with a brush, I still accepted so that they would not leave it without hair . But I pick up my dog and they give it to me completely bare, I can see the color of the skin. What an insufficient and unprofessional service, do you need a clean and untangled dog to leave it normal? My dog was not so entangled that they left it the way they left it, I ask for the return of the 20 dollars, because to leave my dog like this, I would have taken it to any grooming on the street and I do it myself buying a machine shaving. What a lack of professionalism. They definitely don't know how to work and are looking for the easiest solution. And additional they left it uneven. some badly long pieces and others shorter, it shows on his face. They should return all the money.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GROOMING YOUR DOGS HERE. I had a confirmed appointment at 7am. Showed up on time and nobody was there. I waited around for 15 minutes, then someone showed up and said my groomer called out last minute and that nobody else could groom my dogs today. This whole ordeal made me late for work and my dogs weren’t even able to get groomed. The manager really did not care and was very nonchalant about the situation. This is the second time my confirmed appointment has been cancelled by Pet Smart last minute.

My dogs are a 2-year-old mini Goldendoodle named Cappy and a 6-month-old toy Poodle named Simba. They have been going to Sofia for grooming since their first grooming session. The grooming is always top-notch, and my dogs look beautiful and smell great every time. Our 6-month-old toy Poodle, Simba, has a hard time during grooming. At first, Sofia could only trim him because he moved too much. But two weeks later, when we came back, she went above and beyond to make Simba comfortable, and she was able to gave him a full haircut! Super happy with the service and will continue coming back! Thank you, Sofia!

***This is for grooming only*** I have been taking my dog to a Petsmart groomer a few towns over about once a month since he was a puppy (he's three now). The experience has always been great and I've always been happy with the result. I recently moved to Sterling and this place was nearby so I made an appointment for a bath and brush. The appointment was at 5pm on a Thursday. The first red flag with this place was that they left me a voicemail around noon asking me if I could move the appointment up. As much as I would have loved to, I do work for a living and 5pm was the only time that could work for me. I dropped him off and about 10 minutes later I received a call from them saying we needed to reschedule. Why? Because my dog had some poop on his butt she wanted to just shave him. WHAT?! That should be a last resort. So a little about my dog. He's a 7lb longhaired Chihuahua with fur so vibrant and beautiful he'd make Fabio jealous. The downside to that is he frequently gets poop on his butt if it's not perfectly solid. So back to the story, the groomer asked me if he was sick and I said no. I know better than to bring a sick dog to the groomer and mentioned he's had many solid ones since I brought him. Well, she decided not to believe me and said I needed to reschedule him for a haircut to get the poop shaved off. Uh, last time I checked a BATH took care of that! I just told her my BF would pick him up and that would be that. Once he was picked up she called me to reschedule. I declined to reschedule and I just told her I'd give him a bath myself. The little boy did really need a bath so I was forced to give him one when he got home. I bathed and blowdried him and after 30 minutes, VOILA a clean dog with NO poop on him! What a freaking shocker! I guess didn't need to be shaved after all. This groomer is either incompetent and/or lazy. I love how she determined he needed to be shaved before even giving him a bath! That's seriously like performing surgery before triage. It's also funny how myself, someone with limited grooming experience had ZERO problem getting my dog cleaned. Oh and lastly, if you aren't willing to honor a 5pm appointment don't have the timeslot available. On your GOOGLE page, it specifically states that your GROOMING hours are 7am-9pm. If that is incorrect, please update it. TLDR- This place sucks. If your dog is a Mr. Poopy pants like mine, he is not welcome here unless you want your pet going home looking like a hairless rat. There are so many better places in close proximity. Don't waste your time here.
