We very recently had to put our dog Harley down. He was 16 and had a broken leg and possibly a tumor. He was a very mild mannered loving little guy. It broke our hearts but what made all the difference is the doctor that helped us, wish I knew her name( young blonde with a kind smile and her hair pulled back, very pretty. She was beyond empathetic and knew the exact words that we needed to hear. Her entire demeanor was very comforting. It was almost as she loved him as we did. The entire staff were so genuinely kind. We cannot thank them enough. Such a well-run wonderful place. I would recommend them to anybody for all their pets needs. Sincerely, Justin Vasquez
If you are new to Colorado or need a vet that actually cares, visit a VCA and get the treatment and love your FAMILY member needs. Jenna, Becca and Sarah were so helpful, patient and caring for my Sammy Girl today and I could not be more appreciative of their care. She is resting up and missing you all already ❤️❤️❤️
I don’t know why I’ve taken this long to write a review, I think losing a pet takes a lot of time to reflect and reviews sometimes are not thought about. But I need to say thank you to this team but especially one specific doctor. Dr Stocks was my vet for my sweet angel Sprocket. Sprocket absolutely loved her and the feeling was very mutual. Having an energy that even the most timid of animals can feel and speaks to her human clients with such respect and compassion, never making them feel judged or spoken down to. When sprocket was diagnosed with cancer, Dr. Stocks not only called and was the support that I needed in this dark time, also when I stubbornly said “this isn’t how her story ends,” and I would do anything to get a little longer with her, she helped me find resources and helped me brainstorm the best avenues of oncology and cancer treatment. She helped me find a way for her to get the specialized treatment and cancer free and back living her best life, even if it was just a little longer. I genuinely have her to thank for all of that. When the time came to say goodbye to my baby girl (longer than expected initially but never long enough) Dr Stocks was genuinely my strength, my heart was in so much pain and she was the only vet I’ve ever had give as much unspoken love and energy, reading the room and mirroring the clients needs. End of life services are painful, but having a vet that understands with an unspoken bond with her clients is a godsend. Walking me though the process, but allowing me time to grieve, I will always be grateful for how hard her and her team work to create a nurturing space to say goodbye. As someone who has worked in private practice, shelter med and animal welfare myself, Dr. Stocks will always be someone that I speak highly of, I can’t thank her enough for honestly just being an amazing gift to the animal world. She has found her calling and anytime anyone mentions needing vet services, I give her information with no hesitation. I trust her judgement and open line of communication. When my friends leave they have sent me a message or called thanking me for referring her. Attached are two pics of my sweet girl, thank you again for everything. Sincerely, Sprockets mom
The VCA Anderson on Sheridan Blvd was so good to us last week when we had to put down our pet rat. First off, they waived their exam fee based on the info I gave over the phone, which really helped with the price. Then they were super nice, accommodating, and compassionate--before, during, and after the procedure. Not all vets will euthanize a small/exotic pet, so just doing it was a big help to us. My daughter was very attached to her little buddy, and I was too. They made a miserable experience the best it could possibly have been.
This is the best vet office we have ever been to. We have two dogs, the older of which has severe anxiety issues but the vets here do very well with him. They always follow up after visits with a text message and actually answer questions by text if we have them.
Took my senior dog in for her yearly check up, the vet suggested running her bloodwork for $300 dollars which I did. A different vet called with the results saying he believed she had addisons disease, though she had no symptoms. A few days later the original vet called and said no, he believes she has cushing's disease not addisons. A third vet called me and said she didn't believe my dog had addisons or cushings but that she could have kidney disease and suggested I get her tested again for 100's more. Three different vets, three different suggested diseases from the same one test results. All three diseases needed lifetime medications. You tell me if you would trust any of them. The risk is misdiagnosis and your dogs life. I won't be back.
