Tried this vet on a recommendation, and will not be returning. I took my dog in for a sore shoulder causing a limp - the waiting room was a bit chaotic but hey, it’s full of animals. Once we got into an exam room the vet tech was nice, but the veterinarian really ruined the experience. Dr. Ryan’s energy was so frantic and rushed - it was a similar feeling to my first experience at a used car dealership. He was nice enough, but he didn’t let me explain the issue and kept speaking over me. He would give me his opinion but when I managed to get a word in to give more detail it would change his opinion. If I could have had a chance to speak and give details on my dog, he could have given a more informed opinion but again I was just spoken over. He even questioned me when I said it was the right shoulder - he said he thought it was the left but I live with my dog…. It was definitely the right shoulder. After an extremely quick and not at all thorough “mobility” test he told me what I already knew - it was the right shoulder. He prescribed some anti-inflammatories and moved on. I got the prescription refilled and had to call the vet 3 times to get it filled and get an update. I went to pick up the prescription and 5 hours later they called me to tell me it was ready for pickup? They seem overrun and like they are not allowing sufficient time to deal with all their clients. I found another vet office with a vet who took much more time to examine my dog and find the issue, and also let me speak!
Unfortunately our sweet Molly was too sick to save, Dr Ross was so compassionate and helped us make the best decision possible for our sweet little girl. There is a huge hole in my heart but thanks to Dr Ross and the staff for helping us do the right thing. They are awesome!
I've Taken my dogs here for years, a wonderful family of Vets that take the time with your pets to really know what's going on with them. I can't say enough about Fox Hollow.
I have been taking my dogs to Fox Hollow for 14 years. They quickly caught a heart murmur in one of my boxers at a very young age; less than a year old. We were able to make a long term plan and he lived to almost 13- his life expectancy was 5 years with his condition! When my other boxer got sick they were quick to do an initial diagnosis and get us referred to a heart specialist. We were able to improve her quality of life for an additional 2 years! We were on a bi-weekly then weekly visit regimen and they both STILL loved being at FH!! Now with my new pup, as the other two crossed the rainbow bridge, the care team is awesome with puppy incidents! Two days ago the pup ran over something in the yard and sliced his leg. They were able to get us in the next morning and got him stitched up! Today is he back up and running like the crazy boxer he is! My whole family trusts Fox Hollow! It’s funny, all of us use different vets too! So grateful for the amazing team! They’re compassionate, fun, and knowledgeable! Thank you Fox Hollow!
I took my cat there and Ross Henderson saw him and did an ultrasound and gave me so much information and a detailed report of his condition and the options available. I forwarded it to my friend who is an out of state specialist and she said, “Keep this vet.” It was a hard diagnosis to hear but a talented, kind and compassionate vet. Highly recommend!!!
first thing the doctor (Dan) told me was he couldn’t perform an examination because my dogs ears were hairy. i was then charged $75 for an examination even though the doctor said he couldn’t do it. i came in because my dogs ear has an infection but left being told i would need to take him to many different vets and put him under anesthesia to solve problems i didn’t even bring him there for, such as bad teeth and hairy ears. left the place with my dog still in pain. TOTAL SCAM.
