We took our dog Luna in because she was experiencing signs of paralysis on the right side of her face. We shared all of the symptoms our dog was showing and the staff asked us to leave Luna there for a few hours and they would observe her. After about 4 hours, they called and told us that it was just allergies and we could pick Luna up. They said they did not witness any unusual signs that would point to something outside of allergies. I have attached a photo just to show how obvious it is that Luna is experiencing some sort of paralysis; her right eye does not squint or react to light, she is unable to move the right half of her mouth, and she is drooling (unusual for her) on only the right side. I'm truly not convinced that any staff members observed her during the time she was there, it was a waste of time and money. Also, we asked them to give Luna her rabies vaccine while she was there since she was due for a vaccine in the next month or so. We brought all the paperwork showing that she usually gets a three-year rabies vaccine and we specifically asked for the three-year rabies. When we picked her up, her paperwork showed that she was only given the one-year rabies. When we questioned why they did not give her the three-year, despite having all the paperwork and specifically asking, we were told the vet just decided to do one year instead. We will not be going to this location again.

I booked an appointment for same day on the app. When I arrived, the front dest informed me they may not be able to see us since I booked online. Thank goodness they were able to squeeze us in. There does seem to be a disconnect between the online scheduling and this clinic in particular as other people have noted (I’ve been to various Banfield and never had an issue). BUT that’s honestly not the vets or front desks fault. I’d just save the headache and call in to schedule an appointment. 5 starts for getting us in despite the technical issues. I really appreciate Dr. Keefer taking the time to educate me on treatment options for my dog. He is very intelligent and treated my dog (who was VERY cranky about being at the vet) with kindness.

When you take your pet in, they try to hit you with a list of unneeded services and tell you it’s going to be $500+ and then try to sell you a wellness plan for $114, which ONLY covers preventative care so you still end up paying for all services outside of preventative care. They also had a class action lawsuit filed against them for this several years back for this, so definitely get a second opinion on anything additional services they recommend. I adopted a cat with a pre-existing ear issue, so the rescue gave me a certificate for a free exam here. They charge for every little thing. I was charged $109 for a cytology (ear swab + analysis under microscope) and ear cleaning. I was originally told the cleaning would be $30 and then they charged me $54 because it was a “level 2” cleaning which I’ve never heard of different levels of an ear cleaning before. Most places have a flat fee for that. I 1000% would not recommend Banfield. Their wellness plan is not comprehensive and very scammy. The girl paying in front of me had a wellness plan and still ended up paying $291. Look for a private vet with more control over their pricing and a comprehensive wellness plan or just get pet insurance. I gave two stars because the vet who examined my cat was very nice and did a good job with his ear cleaning.

I had a good service experience taking in my dog leylah, who was vomiting and had diarrhea. We spoke with KYRA, she was super helpful and very easy to talk to. Also willing to answer any questions.

- [ ] I am completely unsatisfied with the service I received from your clinic. I had a sick cat with a swollen throat and I had to pay $300 the day I brought her in. They wanted to run tests for feline aids and cancer even though they told me she was too more than likely too young for them. She was negative as suspected and I was then told we had to do more tests that would cost about the same and I had to refuse and reschedule as I didn’t have the money that day. I went in a few days later and they ran more tests in which her results again came back negative. The vet we had the first day was a stand in which they didn’t tell me until I met the second vet. I asked the vet from the first day if she knew what the symptoms might be and her response made me livid. She said “You know, it’s like hiding an egg and asking me to go find it, it could be anything.”Whatever that was supposed to mean. The first vet also told me that my cat had really bad gum disease. The second vet I had to ask to speak to because the clinic was going to send me home without even being able to speak to her, so I waited in a room for her to consult with me and I mentioned the gum disease and asked if that could have anything to do with that, in which she responded “I didn’t notice any gum disease.” When I told her the first vet said she did, she asked if I would like her to take another look and I said yes. She then sent her college trainee assistant back out to respond that yes she did have a bad tooth and that the antibiotic shot they gave her should bring the swelling down. I’m wondering why exactly did I pay $750 when vets aren’t even giving my cat a thorough inspection. I am more than upset that it took me nearly $800 to get an antibiotic shot when I believe that’s what we should have started with. I will never go back to this clinic again and I would never suggest anyone else to do so either.

All the staff and the doctor are very kind and efficient. They took care of us, and our dog recovered, because we followed instructions. We were on vacation, thousands of miles from home.
