Description The Humane Society of Southern Arizona is the oldest and largest nonprofit in southern Arizona serving pets and the people who love them. We aim to make a better life for the cats, dogs and other furry friends that come through our doors, but we also aim to make a better community for everyone. We do that with a broad range of programs and services that make up the three pillars of our organization. Through these pillars, we work to fulfill our mission: Acting with compassion and responsible stewardship through innovative programs that serve pets and the people who love them. We invite you to help us realize our vision: A community in which all pets are cared for and loved. HSSA is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Took our favorite girl to get her Rabies, shots and tested for worms. Got there at 630am to ensure we could be seen. They started calling us in at 9am. We were back home by 10am. She's good for 3 years.

I found this beautiful little boy crossing Prince by Oracle Rd. He almost got hit by a truck so I took him to the Humane society and they checked him for a chip & gave him a check up to make sure he wasn't sick. There's a fee of $60 to drop off dogs but they waived it bc I found him. They brought him out so I could say goodbye to him & gave me a form with a control number so I can call or go visit him. The staff is great and the facility is very clean. Thank you for helping him. Just wanted to update this post. The dog's owners picked him up and was very happy he was safe

We've been fostering for a little over a year with HSSA. Their foster team is great and really works with us throughout the process, ensuring we have all needed supplies until the puppies get adopted.

This place was very clean and quiet. Very professional, urgent and sympathetic. They actually open at 9am, google hasn't been updated. I chose the special cremation package for my senior kitty who passed of kidney disease. I love you Jack Jack, I know you're in good hands. The cremation process takes between 7-10 business days and they mentioned that they would call when they are ready to be picked up. They will hold the ashes up to 6 months if life gets in the way. Thank you HSSA.

I adopted my pug from here. The only thing I have against this place is how long the process took. Yes, my dog had just come back from a foster home. Yes, he had a heartworm infection that's cured now. Yes, he still needs his prescription steroids to strengthen his heart. Yes, he was a stray. No, it doesn't take four hours to tell me all this.

What a wonderful experience. Great modern clean building...with its own pet store. Super friendly staff. I adopted 2 feral kittens. The price was fair with spayed/neutered, shots included. They even gave me a free crate/carrier. The kitties are now trying to make sense of their real home now. So glad they are the two of them as they really find comfort in each other. Great experience and Thank you again to all the wonderful staff.
