I have tried to contact this place several times to volunteer my time there, and they have completely disregarded me just because I have a disability and can't do as much of the cleaning they'd like. I have worked with animals my whole life and have offered my time to socialize with these cats that deserve it. Volunteering is more than just cleaning up. Everyone can do something! Who wouldn't want a volunteer that can give the cats what they need and deserve?!?

This is a wonderful no-kill shelter for cats. It is not fancy, but it is clean & organized, with lots of cat trees, cozy blankets, and scratching posts. The volunteers take excellent care of these kitties and love them & know them by name. The cats are free to roam in multiple rooms, unless they are ill, aggressive, or need special diets/meds. The shelter operates entirely on grants & private donations. One reviewer mentioned so called challenges of adopting-- there is an interview process for a reason! Each cat here has different personality, age, & health needs-- the manger is very particular about making sure the cat is placed in a home that will be a good fit, ensuring that the animals don't end up coming straight back to the shelter. Her #1 priority is the well being of the CAT, not the convenience of a customer. I admire the way they do things!

These people are the best. No kill shelter in central Tucson. Charlie adopted me while I was volunteering here.

This no kill cat shelter is a wonderful thing for many cats and kittens that otherwise would be in big trouble with no home They provide the best care for these magical creatures until they're human finds them. I recommend adopting from them Or Donate to them, they deserve a chance to live too ! I believe I saw a couple dogs there as well. So if you're a dog person, feel at ease, they take care of canines as well.

Something here doesn’t sound right. They say they are a shelter that rescues cats and adopts them out. Yet they have several hurdles in place to hinder or prevent the process of adoption. Their web site and facebook have not been updated for years. So there is no way to view what is available. They use covid to limit the viewing hours to one day a week for four hours. (I understand that covid is a concern for some but it’s not like it was two years ago, I don’t know of any organization that is only open for fours hours a week) I did fill out their extensive application (I have no idea why they want to know if I have a porch?) Since I had no idea what was available I explained that my cat and I had lost a companion of 10 years a couple months ago and I was looking for a male, adult cat to hopefully fill the lost for both of us. The response, which took a week and a half, not the 24 hours as stated in their website (hurdles?) gave me a specific time on a specific day, to meet a specific adult, male cat. Who happens to have what she wrote, “weepy eye from time to time’. Weepy eye can be a symptom of a couple of causes, some being contagious. And she knows from my application I have another cat. I have had cats most of my life. They are special animals. And there are so many that need a good home. An organization like this, that’s seems to spend more time fund raising then adopting out really angers me, profiting from the innocent. If you are looking for a companion go to P.A.C.C. They are doing everything they can to get an animal in a home. No hurdles.

Lovely staff members. Very dedicated and caring! Please consider this shelter for adopting adult kitty's! I was there with a donation (huge cat tree) and they were very gracious. Please consider donating to them as well 💕
