Description Kings Highway Animal Clinic has been serving San Marcos, TX and the surrounding areas for over 40 years. We seek to provide the best possible medical, surgical, and dental care available to our patients. We offer a variety of services to small animals whether it be puppy and kitten vaccinations, dental cleanings, or a complicated illness or injury, we seek to provide comprehensive veterinary care and individualized treatment plans for all of our patients. We also offer a variety of general medicine services to large animals such as cattle, horses, sheep and goats.

This a really great place. My dog does not get along with other animals. I told their staff this once. They know it when we walk in and are sure to get her into an exam room by herself asap. The vet is great and generously makes her time available to answer your questions. The techs are amazing and the fact that you can pay while you are still in the exam room make it a very easy visit for us. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the great care you provide!!!

Took my two Aussies in for vaccines and the staff were so nice and I loved how the vet sat on the floor with them and did the exam there. They were so comfortable with her. She listened to our concerns and gave great recommendations. Looks like we found our new vet!

King’s Highway is our favorite!! The only place we will ever take Howdy! They love Howdy like she’s family. Anytime we’ve needed an emergency appt they get us in same day, usually within an hour or so. Excellent care & amazing people!! 🤍

The best part of this vet clinic is the front desk ladies - they are always so kind and helpful. When it came to getting my pups' prescriptions ready, they were extremely quick. The techs were good too. Would not recommend the vets, though. The first vet that I had my dogs see here was not thorough at all. She hardly touched my dogs during the physical exam and it was super short. I changed to a different vet here, hoping for some better care, but it didn't change much. Neither of them ever called me about lab results like they said they would, unless I called them first and had to track them down. The second vet also missed diagnosing my dog with an ear yeast infection because she barely glanced in her ear. I had to come in at a later date and she actually checked and diagnosed. They performed a dental procedure on my dog, which went great, but her stitches did not dissolve in 2 weeks like they said. Instead, they're still there a month later and causing mouth sores. I am having another vet remove them.

King’s Highway’s staff was efficient & clear on the process to medically treat & TNR one of my injured strays. It was so helpful to be able to take him in one time for both procedures. The second pic is the day I picked him up from the vet.
