I’ve adopted 3 amazing dogs from this location and each time has been simple and quick. My boyfriend owns 1 dog and I have my amazing 3. Luckily this shelter allows you to do meet and greets to ensure all the dogs get along. There’s pros and cons here, some more understandable than others. When you walk in you’re greeted nicely by most staff. Only one staff member has been an issue on my end. It seems as though if you’re a big adopter you’ll be ridiculed for it by this one Asian staff member. While adopting my 3rd dog I was told by my boyfriend that she openly felt some type of way about me adopting yet another dog because I had already adopted 2 others. Most of the animals are very skinny and have been in the shelter for over 100 days. It seems that this shelter puts on a persona online to bring people in but once you’re there, it’s very sad to see these animals. My latest dog came into the shelter with puppies from what I know and it seems that they didn’t even bother cleaning her underneath where the babies came out.. instead they stitched her up and put her right back in a cage. Under this you’ll see all the dogs ive adopted, both of my pitbulls were severely underweight and malnourished but you’ll see now that they’re looking better than ever even after only having my newly adopted pit for a single day. I will give credits to one of my favorite staff there though, she’s the sweetest and when she saw my dogs she recognized them right away and said hello. Curly blonde, (I’m not sure what your name was) you have my heart, I can see how much you care for the animals and you’re appreciated for your hardwork 💙 overall come here if you are for sure adopting, window shopping is probably not the best due to the little help that this shelter gets which means it won’t be so clean and you will have to work with your new cat or dog to keep them healthy and thriving. I recommend this shelter to everyone no matter what because 90% of the staff have the ambition for these dogs that u would hope any shelter staff would have. No matter what “some” of the staff say when u adopt, don’t let them get to you. No staff member should ever shame someone for adopting another dog. Below is pictures of 3 babies I’ve adopted with their original names as well💙 Huckleberry Finn -> Kilo Captain Crunch -> Lady Frankenstein Sarah O’ Connor -> Zara

Don’t adopt here unless you want to wait three days for your animal just to take him home and have the vet say he’s insanely ill and that the vet at the shelter should’ve never had him available for adoption. His surgery will be thousands of dollars and he has multiple medical conditions that they know about the only spoke of the “”minor and as a animal professional said they were not sure so literally go to any other place that’s why the shelters are full because these people do the worst work understaffed or not they just lie to you so they can empty the shelter without giving two F’s about your money and your peace of mind and reasoning for truly getting a pet, absolutely disgusting Judy has a terrible attitude and my friend and I were there even another guest noticed how rude she speaks. I even had one of the staff tell me that that’s how she is. Even after holding your animal for days, they don’t clean them. They don’t wipe them down they send them home completely dirty say they’re not infested and of course they are.

You have to love these people. They really care for the lost and abandoned animals. Just visiting was heartbreaking but I felt better knowing the kind of employees and great hearted volunteers.

As someone who has never adopted before, this rescue ruined the experience for me and turned me off to the possibility of ever adopting. Nothing but attitude and minimal effort from the front desk over the phone. When confronted in person about the treatment, suddenly that employee isn’t there and they have no idea what I’m talking about. Told several different stories about where the animal I was interested in was being sent for rescue. Staff can’t even answer what rescue the pet is going to or where it’s located or who they’re coordinating with, apparently they know nothing. When I pressed, then I was told the rescue coordinator handles that but ironically he is out of the office. Then I’m shamed by the receptionist because I’m interested in small dog breeds and not large dog breeds. You would think that staff would be interested in finding pets their forever homes but apparently that’s not the case with this animal shelter.

I absolutely love this place! They are so helpful with the adoptions and even after. I called after I adopted 2 kittens and Alysha was so helpful and knowledgeable with things to do to make them more comfortable. This is an amazing center and the staff is so friendly. They know so much about the pets and how to work with them. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Amazing facility. Staff well trained and compassionate about the terribly hard job they do. So many precious animals await their forever homes!! This facility works hard to maintain a place that protects and nurtures animals to the best of their ability. The kennels are clean and animals given the best of care. We chose to visit and check out the available medium size dogs to possibly adopt. It is heartbreaking to see how many beautiful animals are alone and frightened without family to love and nurture them. These animals have nothing but loyalty and love to offer. We are blessed to have adopted a sweet little female dog who has already filled our home with smiles and kisses. She is filling our hearts and home with joy that was missing from the loss of.our precious chronically ill rescue of 4 years ago who crossed the rainbow Bridge last week. We are forever grateful for our new furkid. Thank you to all staff who work tirelessly with compassion and kindness to help others find new family members...furkids to bless their lives. Grateful, Kathy and Ken Carlson Adopted Little Cow, now "S'more Joy"...like some more joy, some more kisses and some more love!!! She is adored!!!
