Description VFAP IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED EFFECTIVE 2/6/2023 Walk-ins welcome during weekend hours. Weekdays by appointment only. Offering cat and kitten adoptions in our adoption center, Vets For Abandoned Pets is a 100% volunteer-run organization dedicated to reducing suffering by providing medical treatment, spay/neuter, and ultimately finding loving forever homes to the homeless and abandoned cat and kitten population of Las Vegas, Nevada. Around since 2012, we have found homes for over 5,000 cats and counting! All cats up for adoption have been medically vetted, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated as age-appropriate. We ask for a $150 adoption fee to help cover these costs. Please bring a carrier or purchase a cardboard kitten carrier for $8.

We got our boy Finn from this awesome rescue. They are very passionate for what they do and take good care of these cats. I would definitely recommend not only to adopt from here but be sure to make an appointment so you get to see these cats personally better, compared to being in a group of people. The experience was great being here and when we're ready to get a friend for Finn, we know where to go.

The first time I went here, I adopted my first kitty from them, and then a few months later, another one haha! Everyone is so nice and friendly! To be able to play with all the cats is such a great idea so you can get used to them first. I love it so much that I now foster kittens!! Literally the best decision ever. My house is always full of lovable babies who need a place to stay and tons of play time before finding their new home ❤️

We can without question recommend VFAP if you are looking to add a sweet addition to your family. They are a wonderful organization that Specializes in the rescue and adoption of poor little lost / stray kitties that otherwise would be left to fend for themselves. We adopted Fiona from them and we can’t express just how thankful we are…their care, facilities that are so conducive to preparing these kitties for rehoming is unparalleled. Everyone there is a true animal lover and they take the time and effort to make sure that all their rescues, whether kittens or more mature adults are cared for and ready to move into their new surroundings. Their facility is without question welcoming and stress free….I highly encourage anyone seeking to find a new family member to visit their facility. The staff are knowledgeable and true cat lovers with nothing but the best intentions for all their rescues. You can walk among the kitties and interact with them on a personal level to get acquainted. We found our beloved Fiona there and we have NO regrets…she is a doll and so well adjusted.

I adopted my 1 year old girl from this center, great experience. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly and helped me out a lot as a first time pet owner. They take great care of the cats there and provide a great environment for them and for the people coming in. Really appreciate all that they do. Raven is doing well in her new home, super happy to have her :)

I adopted a 2-3 month old kitten from here so easy and convenient. I will try to volunteer when I can! Even if you can't take a cat donating, volunteering helps much. Great place for first time kitty owners friendly staff and knowledgeble.
