Description Nevada SPCA was founded in 1982, as Las Vegas’ original no-kill shelter. We are a 501 (c)(3) organization that relies entirely on the generous donations of animal lovers like YOU to make our lifesaving work possible. Our shelter does NOT receive funding from any large national SPCA, ASPCA, or any government agency; we are an independent non-profit serving Southern Nevada. Our goal is to provide care for vulnerable pets and place them into loving homes where they will thrive, provide companionship, and maintain rewarding relationships with their human family.

Was looking for a rabbit/bunny, was looking at all other places and or shelters none anywhere and didn’t trust any on Craigslist’s or anywhere else. Sure enough found this place on Google maps their phone didn’t work but we still went and to my surprise it was one of the best experiences we could have asked for turns out they have a room with about 10 or so and they said you can open the gate and let them interact with you as long as door is closed and only one at a time, and we got to have personal connection with the rabbits and found the one we wanted, the same day we came back and said let’s do it, but was concered with how long it would take / process / cost and it was only $50 super quick application on phone with just basic information needed! Was given a wonderful packet of medical info, vaccinations which they do all of them for free!, and tips and tricks! Couldn’t recommend them enough and how kind and helpful they were, we now have a life long pet named meatball. I recommend SPCA!! :)

Linnie on the left was rescued from NSPCA 8 years ago and now we have rescued Raven. We are happy to have her apart of our family.

Nevada SPCA is a very well run shelter with fantastic staff and volunteers. The shelter is clean, the temporary homes for the dogs are large, the cats have rooms they can explore as well as a private space if they aren't the social type, and they have nice size areas for the smaller pets like bunnies and guinea pigs. The staff is very friendly and professional to help you find your new best friend. It is a great experience for anyone looking to adopt, foster, or do foster field trips which can really help take the stress off shelter dogs (take them for a pupuccino or to the park for a few hours does wonders).

We recently adopted two cats, actual litter mates! A year and eight months young! The people at the NSPCA are awesome and are very helpful answered questions and gave advice. Thank y'all very much! I highly recommend you to this Shelter. Words of advice: if you want to surprise anyone with a pet, surprise them by not telling them you're going there and let them connect to the pet. Then there won't be a reason to return the animals. Shelter's need to be emptied not refilled.

Beautiful facility!! We came in to see a few pups from their website, which they update hourly. They have several Meet and Greet rooms to spend time with the dogs. Each dog has a large kennel with 2 areas. They each have nice beds. They have an outside area that is large and has fake grass for the dogs to run and play. They have misters out there to keep them cool and it's covered. I didn't make it into the cat or bunny area but those areas are large as well.

I went here on 5/2 and adopted the sweetest most loving cat. Ashely at the front desk is amazing. She answered all my questions and was very helpful and friendly! My beautiful cat is also loving her new home 🏡
