First visit. I took my hen in for evaluation. Dr. Foster was highly recommended. He is very knowledgeable about poultry. After a thorough evaluation and x-rays, the cause was identified. Facility is very clean. Staff was very nice. I am glad I have found a local vet who treats poultry.
I could not give a higher recommendation. I avoided needless surgeries going to this location for the first time. They are very honest and very affordable. The staff and doctor are friendly and sociable. I was greeted instantly by multiple people the first time I went in and got to meet the doctor. I was greeted immediately when I dropped my cat off at 7:30 a.m. for surgery. That is luxury! This location is about 1/3 of the price of my prior veterinarian services. I am no longer in debt going to the vet!
I took my two birds (parakeets) here for the first time due to my suspicion of one having a respiratory disease. The doctor gave both birds a physical exam, then said respiratory disease was probably likely. I could tell everyone knew what they were doing for the most part, and the staff seemed friendly enough. Each bird’s exam cost roughly $64, which isn’t bad considering how hard it is to find a good avian vet in the area (Even though that surpasses the cost of the bird itself…) I was given antibiotics and sent on my way. Make sure you do your research before making an appointment—if you suspect your bird’s sick, it definitely helps to know what symptoms to take note of before coming into the vet.
Talk about glow up ♥️ they treated my old man so well and genuinely seemed to care. Very pleased. It is hard to find a good avian vet, with techs that know how to handle a bird.
I love Pet's Paw Animal Hospital. I've been using them for two years now since my prior vet treated my dog poorly during a routine nail clip. I find the examinations thorough and the pricing in line or under other local vets. Dr. Foster especially is kind and informative. My Sassy likes him too.
If you’re thinking of using this place PLEASE reconsider! A few days after getting our English mastiff puppy she came down with really bad diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy, loss of appetite etc… we brought her here because our primary vet didn’t have anything available and so when we got her in they did a stool culture and said she had worms and did a deworming shot and sent us on our way and said that’s all it was. After bringing her home and monitoring her we ended up having to bring her to our primary vet the NEXT DAY as an emergency appointment because her symptoms were worsening and once we got her in with our primary they also did a stool culture and it revealed that she had SEVERE coccidia which can kill them if not treated and our vet was shocked that this place didn’t catch it on their end! If we would’ve just kept her at home after the deworming shot she could’ve died… she was also prescribed 3 different medications by our primary vet to beat the coccidia and she started improving pretty quickly after that. Also the front desk lady always sounds so put out and annoyed to do her job and quite honestly everyone up there doesn’t have a friendly attitude at all.
