The staff at Homeward Bound are amazing. Our dog Ralph was showing signs that something wasnt right while we were out of town visiting family in the area and they not only got him in, they performed his surgery that night to potentially save his life due to clogged intestines. Most Vets are hard to get in a day ahead, they responded mid afternoon and he was being tested by 6:00 and in surgery around 6:30. I cant say enough about how great they were and how thankful we are to the team for what they did for us.

I have been using homeward bound in one location or another since I move back to Maryland in 2013. I have always given them a five-star rating because I felt their care and personnel deserved it. Today, my last visit, they get a one star. Simple nail trim by the techs which a tech recommended to me about 6 months ago went from $30 to $80, an increase of over 250%. My previous visit 05/23was $30, it was to be $80 this time because I requested the techs not the groomer (with whom my cat has had bad experiences. )There was no mention of the exorbitant price increase when I made today's appointment. They're facilities have improved tremendously since they moved into their new building and their services expanded considerably. I understand everything is more expensive today and that's why I have continued to go to them although they are really not in my budget. But everything there seems to be about money now. The two people at the desk ignored my standing there as if I were invisible. Yes I realize they had started other tasks, and I had no problem waiting but to not even acknowledge my existence and say I'll be with you in a moment is just rude. Never been treated there rudely before. My leaving their practice will not be a blow to them, more than likely they won't even notice. But unless you have money to burn, which I would gladly do for my two boys, but not there anymore. Staff downhill. Prices way uphill.

This veterinary practice is wonderful. The doctor and entire staff are incredible. They listened to all my concerns and treated my miniature dachshund puppy with the utmost care. She had terrible itching and they provided her with relief. I recommend them highly and will returning when we need care for our little girl. Dr. Vance and Dr. Sorum are incredibly amazing and compassionate about caring for our fury pets. Just as important, the staff and technicians are just as great. You are always pleasantly greeted and treated with the same level of compassionate care. Over the years, Homeward Bound has treated our cats. When urgent, they make time to treat our cats. When the time comes that our cats need to be put to rest, they are extremely compassionate and supportive. It is hard to see a loved pet cross the rainbow but its is important that they do receive the compassionate care that the staff of Homeward Bound provide to our family. Thank you.

Dr Sorum has been more than wonderful with my dog. My baby was diagnosed with a deadly cancer. Dr Sorum provided the needed documents, dialogue and emails to a veterinarian hospital in Germany for me to find out treatment options. And she did so within minutes of the request. She has continued to support my dog as she enters her end of life time. Dr Sorum has been honest about my dog's prognosis. When my dog was to have surgery, Dr Sorum called me and said surgery was not an option because of the extent and location of the tumor. She was not going to just do the surgery when she knew the outcome would be poor. Dr Sorum took the time to explain everything, answer all my questions, offer support and to ascertain my girl remains comfortable. I never felt rushed or that I was taking too much of her time.

I just wanted to say with a heart full of complete JOY, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to the staff and Dr Vance for literally saving my Kallie’s life. Kallie was diagnosed with Pyometra and no one would take her to do the surgery! Homeward Bound wasted no time and got her in and had the surgery done asap! Kallie is now back at home and recovering beautifully! Because of you all I still have my best friend with me. There is not enough words to say how truly appreciative I am of all of you! Kallie is now a patient there and I look forward to wellness check up once she is healed. Thank you again so much!
