Today I took my cat Elmer to Mother Lode- I’m so thankful they were able to see him between surgeries. I have taken all of my animals to Mother Lode and wouldn’t take them anyplace else!! The vets are great and the ladies in the front are awesome

Best vet I have ever had, hands down. They provided amazing care for 3 of my dogs (Aries, Leia, and Willie) over a 10 year period, from checkups to surgeries, under the care of Dr. Tim, Dr. Molly, and Dr. Mario. I live in the bay area and hadn't used Motherlode for over 8 years, When a complex issue with Willie popped up, Dr Molly didn't hesitate to give me golden advice, and a referral to a quality vet in the bay area. I appreciate all the hard work, ethics, and qualities The Motherlode provides and recommend them to everyone in the Nevada City area because they truly care about my dogs.

We can't say enough about what an incredible establishment this is. Finding a clinic like this is rare. Dr. Cameron (and his staff) have cared for all three of our dogs over the years and we are more than grateful for the thorough, knowledgeable, heartfelt care at a more than reasonable cost. Dr. Cameron has provided a wide variety of services ranging from diagnosis to surgery. We know how deeply he cares for our animals. This community is truly fortunate.

When a veterinarian finds it necessary to treat a senior customer bringing her dogs in for a “wellness check” so poorly, verbally attacking and laughing at her, for not wanting her dogs heart-wormed, it’s time to create a negative review. As ranchers, turned farmers, and now just recently losing her husband of 58 years, she finds her purpose in caring for her pets. Her entire life she has supported charity supporting the proper treatment of animals. She consistently brings her pets in for routine vaccinations and checks. Has always adopted her pets through rescue organizations and cares for them so they live full and happy lives. Belittling a client, laughing during the process, and trying to intimidate into sale is not the proper experience for anyone! Shame on you!

Amazing service! The staff is super nice. Everyone seems very caring. The doctors are very patient and explain things very well. Very prompt service & a very clean facility. They saved my cats life :) 100% blessed !

Fantastic service from caring staff. They are often very busy but the level of care you receive is outstanding. We have/had them care for 6 cats and 2 dogs over the last 10+yrs. From the first stages of our pet's lives until the end, the doctors and staff have always shown understanding and compassion.
