Lotus was very helpful and a delight to talk to during our adoption of Lilly. Lilly was well cared for and has the sweetest disposition. The Nursery was very tidy and had play toys, cat tree, etc. The transition to our home has gone really smooth so far. We have introduced her to our current cats... we are on the right track for her to accept the others and be accepted. The price of adoption was very reasonable. She has her shots and was spayed 1 week ago. We really appreciate that she was older when she was spayed... Thank you AnimalSave! I highly recommend them for pet adoption.

I understand they see and experience a lot, and that can make a person jaded. However, when I was 25 years old I found a kitten there and asked about her. The older lady helping me lectured me of how young adults adopt and dump their cats off with fleas after a few weeks and are horrible owners. In a roundabout way she made it clear she had no interest in allowing me to even fill out an application. She did not ask anything about me before assuming my situation. I was a honor student with a full time job about to graduate and go into a career that requires a much deeper background check than a kitten adoption sheet. Or that I volunteered as a youth there to care for cats. So, after being accused of such things without any merit, I went to Sammie’s Friends and was treated like a normal human being and adopted a very neglected sweet cat who has been my best friend the last 7 years and she will never know neglect or abandonment again. All this to say, please be kinder, it was not fair to pass judgement without knowledge of facts. I understand your place sees horrendous things, but that experience was unfounded.

The lady who does the spay and neutering is completely rude and standoffish. Can't stand the way she handles business and her customer service is very unprofessional! They need a new director!!!

I found my beautiful cat at AnimalSave. The volunteers are dedicated and obviously love being there. The kitties have a spacious, sunlit area in which to relax on their perches and comfortable chairs. I detected no urine smell as I walked in the door. Lotus is the manager/coordinator of the shelter and she and her volunteers make sure the cats are going to have a great home. See my Tessa's (aka Ann) pictures? A real sweetie! My husband and I are lucky to have her in our family.

The lady who answers the phone is so unbearably rude. I've called about homeless cats who have NOTHING to do with me and she goes on and on about "education" about the cats. Like she will not listen when I tell her they are not mine, I am trying to rescue and rehome them. Holy moly. So I tried to call again to get one of my cats fixed and here we go again with the "education" bit. She even went as far as being rude when I said my cat had one litter and they went to homes who had them fixed, she says, "everyone says that" excuse me, I really did make sure and am friends with all the people on Facebook. Every single kitten was spayed and neutered. Thank you, I will not be spending any money at their clinic. I will be going elsewhere.
