The staff here is fantastic! They know the animals really well. The front desk can so.wtimes be overwhelmed, but they remain informative and helpful. We never felt like a burden or an afterthought. They were thorough and clearly care about what is best for the animal. They keep a diary of notes about every animal and share them with you. I mean very detailed notes from foster parents, staff interactions with the animal and staff observations. They do not sugar coat the details. They honestly want to find the best fit for both the animal and his/her new family. Wonderful experience for us!

Staff and volunteers here are some of the most wonderful people. They all work hard to keep a clean home for these animals and to ensure they are fed and have medical care. Donations of food, cages, blankets etc are always welcome. When my baby passed away I donated to their facility. Website tells you what they need and how to donate. Also they are a no kill shelter. I will definitely adopt from them when my heart has healed from my baby. Update: November 2023, just finished volunteering for day at shelter. They always need help walking dogs, feeding both cats and dogs and more. It's so much fun. Where else can you get so much unconditional love? Nowhere! Here are a few dogs there waiting for a home.

I have had my babiest boy now for a year. So thankful to the Wilco shelter and all the sweet employees šŸ„°šŸ„°

Visiting this shelter was pretty upsetting. The care shown to the cats was extremely unfortunate. From what I understand, these cats are not being tested for illnesses, being sent home with worms, fresh stitches and no cones, and overall sad and neglected. It broke my heart to see cats pretty much forgotten in the isolated condos. Cats groom themselves, they donā€™t need constant baths, why were all of the cats dirty? Not grooming themselves is a clear sign of depression and other issues. I am so so embarrassed to know that the city I live in cares so little about what the true purpose is. Not knowing anything about these cats that have been here for months? Thatā€™s insane. Not being able to answer any questions, poor education to potential adopters, just an overall lack of care in the process. This isnā€™t a money making venture, i absolutely hope that none of your executives are making hundreds of thousands of dollars off the backs on innocent animals. The suffering I witnessed was ridiculous. Where is the humanity? Where is the care in the process? Absolutely unacceptable and straight up devastating. I wonā€™t be adopting from here; this establishment is a truly dangerous disaster.

I was very impressed with the animal shelter in Georgetown. It was very clean and staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. I was ready to adopt a cat and dropped in. I was able to spend time with a cat I felt drawn to, in a play room. There were toys and treats available and Tracy was great with providing info about the kitty. As predicted, Sugar headed straight to the box in the corner but she allowed me to take her out and sit her on my lap. 7/10/24 - best decision ever! She is my constant companion.

The workers are super super kind and amazing with the animals. I could tell how well the workers love and care for the animals, not just treat them like they're just there. I just recently adopted 2 cats from here and both of them seemed so well taken care of in the shelter I was impressed. Highly recommend you go here if you're looking for a new pet.
