Very sad to see all the negative reviews. My daughter found a stray dog and took it here. She was told it would be euthanized in 2 days if not claimed because they had way too many dogs. Yet it seems people are having trouble adopting dogs. She left with the dog & adopted the dog out to a family herself & it’s doing great! Been to the vet, spayed, and has a huge yard to run in. She is hoping to be able to save a dog from being euthanized in the future.
I took a stray there 8-23-24. I made it clear to call me & let me know how the cat was doing or prognosis. I sent a few emails inquiring & I received email back today that they put him down. I told them I wanted know bc I would have took him to another vet for 2nd opinion bc I have people who help with cost of bill. This is absolutely disgraceful to animals and the little baby I took there. I thought spca would do better. Don’t take any animal there.
Picked up black lab today, first time fostering. She is checking out her new yard
These people let me meet a German shepherd pup they had and stated they needed him gonna asap. I signed his adoption papers and they told me I could take him home as soon as he was neutered. Then they backtracked and said they needed to watch him play with my daughter first. Then over the weekend I hadn’t heard anything, went in on Tuesday and they informed me both shepherds had been sold to a rescue and I couldn’t have mine and there was nothing they would do.
Totally useless, we had a tame kitten show up under our back patio that someone definitely dropped off. I tried to call the SPCA for several days in a row and left many messages. No one ever answered the phone and no one called back. We can not keep him due to wife's allergies I finally called animal control and they picked him up but said after a limited time he will be put to sleep. SPCA gets our tax money but doesn't seem to do anything.
So grateful for Providence bringing Lodi into my life and my roomie being agreeable to her. Lol. Naps loves her and we're grateful to rescue her from being abandoned in 20 degree weather at 8 weeks old. She's 10 weeks old now and putting on some good muscle and growth.
