Caring and friendly staff. Dr Flow is a wonderful veterinarian. She answers any questions you have and tells you what she's doing while doing the exam. Recently my cat had a seizure on a Saturday evening. Dr Flow returned my call immediately. Discussed how seizures are and how to handle it. Her calmness was reassuring to me. Best vet ever!

Uh-Oh spent the night. Difficulty breathing. I feared the worse. They didn't mind I called checking up. Dr. Sykes spoke with me checking up and on discharge. Doing much much better. Had medicine ready for home. I'm grateful.

The foulness of humanity: My dog had been sick, he had a tumor on his spleen. It was terminal. I asked actively for an animal service that would come to my house if there was an emergency 24/7.. I contacted a place called animal medical services here in Mount airy. I brought my dog in with x-rays and explanations and contact information about Chester and his tumor. They told me that they are 24-hour veterinary service and that they would be able to help me if something happened to Chester. He was approx. 110 lb and I cannot lift him. I had everything prepared, their phone number out for if and when something should happen. Then something did happen my dog was attacked by a bear and had large teeth wounds throughout his body and what appeared to be a broken leg. I called them and I was put on hold for about 15 minutes. when they did pick up they told me I had to speak to a veterinary technician and put me back on hold. The gentleman answered and I explained to him the situation he said okay I have to check with the doctors. I said fine they put me on hold for another 15 minutes. Then the reception picked up the phone again, And I explained to her the situation again and that I was on hold with a vet tech. She said hold on let me find out what's going on. She picked the phone back up and told me that she was sorry that they only come out for livestock. I explained to her that my dog is 110 lb was attacked by a bear had a broken leg and I lived alone. I explained further that I had already been there and made arrangements with them for this particular reason. she said the doctor was leaving for the weekend and the other one was busy. I said I need help I said that I called you guys, took my dog in for an appointment and made arrangements for emergencies like this and I was told that you guys would take care of it. She said we don't take care of dogs just livestock. I said you need to explain to the doctor that I was told that they will come out for an emergency when it came to my dog I have an invoice number I have a date of the visit and I have an account number. She said again we don't do that. I went back and forth with her on the phone explaining to her my dog had a broken leg he had several gashes on his body I said that he has a terminal tumor on a spleen and that he more than likely has a broken leg what am I supposed to do? She said we don't take new patients. I said again I am not a new patient. I gave her the account number. And she hung up on me and then they wouldn't answer the phone. What a horrible nasty disgusting way to run a business. I saw this vet specifically to help me with my dog when there was an emergency. They agreed. Then when the time came they were rude to me and hung up the phone on me and I was on my own. I will never go out and intentionally hurt another human being. I am not threatening this place or the people. But I will tell you there is an authority far greater than l watching. Whether you think it's God the gods or the universe. He/it/they see what they've done and it's not gonna end well for that kind of atrocious behavior. They will pay for it one way or another. Not to mention the thousands and thousands of years of my ancestors that are watching down over me and protecting me. Again this is not in my hands, it's in God's hands Animal medical services in Mount airy is cruel, indifferent and they lie. Especially being that I was in such an extraordinarily vulnerable and helpless situation. Again animal medical services in Mount airy is a cruel foul disgusting group of people.

I have been taking all my pets to AMS for many, many years. Everyone that works there have been so loving and caring no matter why I brought my babies in to see them. I have had a lot of sadness there as well, and I could feel their empathy. They've been there for me in sadness, sickness and just a regular checkup. I love everyone there and I wouldn't want to take my babies anywhere else.

We have used them for a while because they were open on Saturday. But lately when ever I call to have one of my animals looked at they request it be dropped off in the morning . From what I understood they will get to them later even for a simple checkup. I am not going to do that to my pet. Also I have to buy medicated eydrops fie my dog. They dispense the medicine there. It is very expensive at $92. The next month I went to get it and it was $122. Another thing is when we do go there we never get the same tech person. It feels very impersonal. I can say though they did help us when we did bring in an animal .

Very friendly atmosphere they care a whole lot about animals any and all. The only place my puppies ever been to In The Last 5 Years and that's how old he is. I really appreciate them helping me take care of my puppy. Thank all of you at Animal Medical Services.
