Useless service. No one ever answers the phone in the evenings and there is no way to contact any of the shelters and actually get someone to answer the phone. Multiple police agencies in Erie County make unanswered calls and have nowhere to take people in need.

Amazing service. I'm disappointed at the few complaints about the free and accurate information about where to find help. If you need food, shelter, clothing, school supplies, school clothing, legal assistance, transportation, safe place for Domestic Violence situations, and even tax preparation, call 211 and you will receive a polite, professional, and informative customer service individual on the other end of the line. It's up to you what you do with the information to get results. Western New Yorkers are lucky to have this kind of help available.

I called about being homeless and was told to go downtown Buffalo and they would help me. I did exactly what they said but their information was incorrect they will not help you unless you were actually homeless they misinformed me by telling me that I should go down right away and be proactive about homelessness once I got downtown they informed me that there's nothing they can do for me unless I am actually homeless. Just be careful of being misinformed about information it was a waste of time gas money and parking money which I don't have because again I am homeless

I've called them on numerous occasions and still no help. They weren't nuce ir helpful at all. I've been going through Domestic Violence for awhile and i called them and Haven House for emergency shelter help and they denied me and my kids. Don't depend in them either
