This place screwed me and took advantage of volunteered assistance. Last Saturday morning...A WEEK AGO..two puppies were abandoned on my yard. I have a service dog...I called animal control. They were overwhelmed, and mentioned euthanasia. Asked if they brought food and a kennel, if I'd watch them for a couple days. How could I say no? On day 2, realizing this was gonna go another day..I called and asked for flea n tick preventative...the male is covered..Linda said they'd get that out. When that didn't happen by 4 days? I knew something was off. Maybe THIS is why they are having so much trouble. So...seeing trouble coming, I called Friday morning...said forget the flea meds...your going to have to come today..and get them. They never said they would not come today....she just didn't know when. DIDNT EVEN BOTHER TO CALL. And when I called tonight? I got officer Owens...who at 615 explained to me "he was busy WAITING for emergency calls" can't wait to find out just how busy he was. The emotional toll on me and the dogs is heavy. I will consult a lawyer. I love helping out...but you broke the deal. I'll never trust you people again. 620pm....hung up with Owen's 650pm...waiting on attorney call back...it's just that quick.

After my neighbor passed away a random dog appeared on his property which I was trying to keep but when I notified the rental dealers dealing with the home they said animal control would retrieve the dog instead? If someone has the time to actually feed and try to take care of strays why be rude and say he has to go to the shelter where no one will make sure he has a furever home?? I've rehomed many animals in the past and rehabilitated them from aggression, people at this shelter should appreciate people who actually want to take the time to care for these strays instead of keeping them locked up!

03-22-2024 3:25PM I called about an injured stray cat. The disgusting attitude and tone of the woman that I spoke to on the phone. She clearly doesn't know how to talk to people and should NOT be answering phone calls! I really wish I could recall what her name was. She was asking questions in circles instead of just asking (efficient) direct questions. Example. She asked where was it located. What street is it by. Then what street is adjacent. Then she asked was it at an address. Had I known that's where the questions were leading, then I would've just gave an address from the start instead of allowing her to steer the wheel of confusion. These ladies and gents really care about these animals!! They are well taken care of! They push really hard to get these babies adopted. You can feel the blonde headed officer with glasses passion for these animals, like it's strong!!! I'd like to thank all of yall that work there for loving and caring so much for them!!!

I called this company and spoke to a lady about a stray dog at my home. The lady told me that there was no space for the dog at their kennel and to post the dog on lost and found pages. That didn't make sense to me. I got the feeling that she thought I was trying to get rid of dog I no longer wanted. The dog attacked my shih tzu who is under 10lbs the next day. So I called again, the lady said that someone would come to my house. No one ever showed up so I called first thing the next morning. I got a phone call from a lady asking me to look at my door to see if I had a notice about someone coming to pick up the dog. I was at work so clearly I couldn't do that. She then told me that I was supposed to be at home to describe the situation and to describe a dog. A dog that is NOT mine. I said well that would have been nice to know when I called the first two times. A day later after getting the run around about the men who collect the dogs being understaffed, someone finally comes to my house. A gentleman tells me that my door is open and that the stray dog is actually in my home. I come home to only one of my dogs being present and my Shih Tzu is missing. Thankfully my dog fell into great hands and was returned to me and the dog was removed from my home and only because he was cornered in my bedroom. Sadly, my small dog and a broken jaw and a hematoma behind his eye. Outside of that, I have a large bill, faced with putting my dog down or getting surgery and a broken door. Had I not been given the run around and more effort had been put into getting the stray dog, this would not have happened. I believe the lady on the other end of the phone found my phone calls to be funny as well. The man who removed the dog from my home was nice and he had no issues getting the dog out of my home when he was finally able to capture that wild dog.
