I have been wanting to adopt a cat since my last one got out 2 years ago and I have not seen him since. I went on the Paws website and that’s where I saw my future honey Ringo Star a Tabby kitten. I filled out the application their site and it said someone would reach out in about seven days. Well it’s seven days and I have heard nothing SMH. I am willing to give Ringo a good home you just have to respond to my application it is as easy as that.
I can't recommend this place enough to adopt a new member of your family. My husband adopted these cat brothers three years ago and I can't count how much joy they have brought us. I am so thankful that there is such a group of people in Philadelphia who are rescuing little lives to make a warm place for them!
PAWS is a great member of Philadelphia's "no-kill" approach to animal rescue! ~If you want to add an animal friend to your family, check out PAWS (or affiliate) FIRST. Because too many animals are waiting for a "Forever-Home". 😀Instead of buying privately, adopt an animal instead. They're not only in need of a good home, but also... ✓ INEXPENSIVE & ✓ FULLY VACCINATED & ✓ SPAYED/NEUTERED & ✓ MICROCHIPPED (for safe return if lost) & ✓ EVALUATED for GOOD TEMPERAMENT AND ✓ YOU'LL HELP STOP the OVERPOPULATION problem which is growing out of hand! ‼️ Very few private breeders are legitimate. Just ask a member of the PAWS team.. they'll tell you. ♥️ THEY NEED HELP from anyone with extra time, not to mention extra funds to help save more animals. Call or visit to learn how you can make a big difference!
I emailed them, asking them to please give me a lower price for my dog to get neutered. There used to be a much lower price for low income people. All I received in return was a form letter, informing me that there were no openings available, but to leave my phone number so that they could call when there were. This leads me to believe that my email was not even read. I was trying to do everything I could to be able to keep my puppy and not have to surrender him. To me, $125 is a third of my monthly income, so that amount is not possible. I was very disappointed. I do have to edit this review. The night that I wrote this review, I got a response from PAWS. They said that they had indeed read my email and that I should call and that their staff would be glad to talk to me about other programs that are available for people that cannot afford the set price.
I went in at around 2:30 and they were able to find me the perfect cat within an hour. Their staff, especially Misha, was extremely accomadating and very attentive to my needs as a first time pet-owner. After filling out the application, Misha asked me a bunch of questions about what kind of cat I'm looking for and matched me perfectly with their cat Toasty who I ended up getting. They even threw in a couple of his toys he loved at the shelter for free. They were extremely caring for the animals that they have there and they are obviously kept in good conditions at this shelter. I would recommend this shelter to anyone who is looking for a cat around the Philadelphia area.
I came in was able to see the available cat and they are very nice very outgoing when telling you about animals…
