I adopted my dog from EGAS a couple years ago and the facility was great. The staff is amazing and it's obvious how much they genuinely care about the animals in their facility.

This is the nicest shelter in the Sacramento area! We went to specifically look at cats and they had over 50. I highly recommend this location and the staff/volunteers were so kind, patient, and very informative.

Went there to look at the dogs and we found a awesome forever pet Hazel. There services were wonderful and now she's very happy and spoiled

Adopted my beautiful little kitten "Storm" yesterday. Elk Grove animal shelter is wonderful. All of the ladies truly care about you and your needs. They take the needs of all the animals to heart as well. It's clean, well organized and fast. They explain everything to you. I recently lost my kitten and they truly did everything to make this visit a very special one. Thank you!!!!

Well what I had a concern about an animal being abused or neglected turns out the animal service officer is apparently in bed with a person that’s abusing these dogs and sees no harm done so this place is corrupt as ever. These dogs have been tied up to the camper for going on three days no food no water and they won’t do anything about it
