There are many programs that happen at the Bannock Humane Society. They have a spaying and neutering program, and the pets get their vaccinations for a low cost! They also give pet food out on the third Wednesday of each month @5:00pm. There is also dog training that is done there throughout the week.
I am so impressed with the Bannock Humane Society! Our backyard fence got blown open allowing our dog to escape while we were away. A sweet lady picked her up and took her in. They quickly notified us and took care of our girl until we got the voicemail. They went above and beyond taking her back to our house making sure she went in through the doggy door and shutting our gate. We are so thankful for Daniel and everyone else who helped out with our girl.
Every 3rd Wednesday of the month they give out bags of food to help but I'd only recommend going if you're ready to be belittled. I went because I have 2 dogs, one of them being a puppy I got because I was struggling with a recent pregnancy loss. I also got sick due to that loss and have been struggling financially. They had the gall to ask me why I got a dog when I couldn't afford to feed it. And then told me the next time I come back that my puppy better be neutered/spayed. He's only 10 weeks old. He literally can't be or else he would have been. Don't offer help if you don't want to help people. It was the most gut wrenching experience to not be able to tell someone why I can't afford to feed my dog when I'm already going through depression and I feel guilty I'm struggling to work and even struggling to ask for help. I wish I knew the lady's name because how she treated me was beyond unacceptable. I can only imagine how she treats other people.
Everyone was very nice and professional. Their calm and reassuring voices even helped the pets waiting to go to the back. Thank you for taking care of my Kirby so well!!
They do amazing things foe the community and their animals. They foster so many animals and then find homes for them. It's a really hard working group of volunteers and they work tirelessly for the animals. It's a great non-profit that doesn't get near the recognition and support they deserve. They always need food donations and have low cost/spay neuter programs.
I adopted a female dog and everyone at the facility was so nice and gave us lots of free dog toys and doggie treats along with a blanket too for our new dog. Her name is Sophie and she is our new family member.
