Terrific experience adopting my boy, Dash, last month. Staff was great, facility clean, animals well cared for, and sweet as can be. Dash was neutered, vaccinated for his age, and given full physical by their vet before I brought him home. Having been with other kittens at the shelter, Dash had no trouble joining my 15 & 16 year old boys at home. As pics show, they like him, too. I will certainly go to MJACC if or when we adopt again.
Got my girl Tuna from here!!!! Most sweet and loving girl around and this shelter is so well run! Looking to volunteer soon when I'm able, honestly check this place out!!! Oh and you can ask questions!! PLEASE don't be afraid to, everyone there is extremely knowledgeable about the animal field and hard working! Ok, Arctic Out!
I had an emergency and my 14 year old dog needed to be seen asap but our normal vet was out of town (day after Christmas). Dr.C allowed us to come in, gave him some meds but also let me know the truth and he may not get better. I ended up having to put him to sleep and Dr.C was so caring and gentle with my baby. I will always cherish the doctors honesty and willingness to help. I was also able to have my pet cremated. Photo of my baby the hours that I was able to spend with him because the vet did not push me to make an immediate decision. The time I was able to spend with Twix that last day was so important.
I really enjoyed adopting my three-legged kitten. She has the best personality and Mt. Juliet Animal Care & Control offered her the best care!
I adopted a dog from the Mt. Juliet Animal shelter almost 2 years ago. He was a stray, running loose, and they got a call to pick him up. He is about the sweetest dog I’ve ever had. They appropriately named him Elmer and he responded to it so I kept it. I met him at Petsmart adoption day. That’s such a great way for the dogs to get exposure and get out of the shelter for socialization. Elmer was well-cared for, well-fed, bathed and ready for his new forever home. I’m grateful to them for bringing so much happiness into my life.
I would definitely consider starting here if you are looking to adopt in the Mt. Juliet or Wilson Co. Area. They are extremely nice and care about getting the animals they take in adopted out. Shoot they let me come up and love up one of the kittens I'm fixing to adopt.
