Description True Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal shelter for dogs and cats, with our location in Mt. Juliet, TN. We run 100% on donations and grants, and use our facility for mainly cats, kittens and puppies, while using fosters for dogs. We are the first completely cageless animal shelter for cats in the state of TN. True Rescue serves poorer counties with little or no animal control, as well as states further south, with aid coming during natural disasters as well as overcrowded conditions. Our moto is "Safe Hands For Animals".

My cousin and I rescued a couple of pregnant Calico's and True Rescue took them in! They both had their litters within 24 hours after being in a safe environment! I was only in town for less than a week but I loved helping out these beautiful Calico's! Just with I could have stayed longer and rescued the last 3! Someone had dropped a kitten off at my house about a month ago. Travel to much for work to keep him . He deserves someone everyday. He immediately became friends with my older German Shepherd, Would come to me when called . If i put on cat TV he would be locked in . Hopefully someone will give him a forever home. True Rescue seems to be the best place for that to happen. Fingers crossed

Just left the location and it was an amazing experience. I have been researching places to adopt for about a week now and wish I had found this place sooner. The ladies working in there were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the questions I had. I ended up adopting a beautiful male kitten that I get to pick up on Thursday and can’t wait. My daughter’s birthday is Saturday and she has been begging for a cat for so long i just know she’s is going to be excited. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to adopt to check this place out.

True Rescue is a wonderful place to adopt cats or dogs! They truly care about every animal that comes and goes, they pour their hearts into every single one. My husband and I are absolutely in love with our new kitten, and our dog is smitten as well! I cannot recommend them enough, wonderful folks! They make the adoption process easy, give you all the information you need, and are quick to respond through messenger when you need them. Thank you True Rescue!!

Let me say first that True Rescue is for animal adoptions. Its not a petting zoo or for the just curious. If you want to visit because you hope to find a new family member you fill out a application first, like we did. Okay, that being said, I’ve seen a lot of things in my life , but this was a first. A whole house dedicated to felines (a few canines) it was a incredible experience and we ended up spending 2 1/2 hours there without realizing it. The staff was very helpful, but also very protective of the house’s residents. We unfortunately were a little early for kitten season (we were looking for a kitten). We did chance across a younger cat that had a amazing personality and adopted him without hesitation. (His pictures 1st) We have room for more and will return for our kitten hunt, but we learned you never know who you might meet there and bring home🤷♂️. Meeting so many felines getting along, being so friendly and being able to pet them all was such a great experience. Very clean environment, a literal feline paradise.
