In the past, these guys were amazing, but without having a permanent veterinarian, you can't expect much, I am very disappointed with what I pay monthly and what I get in return, you are lucky if they are open and can see you, if you are running late, be prepared to be rudely spoken too and told you can't be seen, however those employees are obviously no longer working there. It is never convenient to speak to a vet like most veterinarian clinics. They only want you to drop off and pick up, no explanations, etc. Because I have a contract with them, I have no other choice until that ends. I am thankful Sarah and a few of the vet techs are still working at N. Charleston location. Otherwise, they would have to close. They seem to be the only one's keeping it running. In my opinion you are better off to go to a vet you can have a relationship with, and pay their price not what they are scamming you for at Banfield, you are NOT saving money or helping your pet. I would give 5 stars to Sarah and the vet techs that have been there for years, otherwise Banfield corporation in N. Charleston should close temporarily until they can live up to expectations they promise and can employ a permanent veterinarian.

Absolutely best Vet office! Just get the insurance plus plan it’s so worth it. I know a lot of people who were trying to talk me out of taking my pup to Banfield I am glad I didn’t listen and glad I trusted my intuition. I go to the North Charleston location since it’s the closest to me but so far nothing but great things to say about the staff and the hospital itself. The waiting area and waiting rooms are clean! They allow you to see your pet via the window at the door and are extremely helpful when I ask them so many questions. They are patient with me as I have a thousand questions about my pup. They have a variety of puppy clothes! Toys, Chi shampoo!!!! The best. They have toothpaste and toothbrushes for small puppy’s this store has it all. Well maintained and cleaned I have zero complaints.

The 5 stars is only because of the Staff and Vet at this location, and the kindness shown and the help they gave me to get to where I needed to be with my Kitten. For Banfield Coorperate, they don't even deserve a single star. How can you call yourself a "Pet Hospital" and not stock many items that may be needed in a situation where an animal needs actual medical attention, and not just a few shots, a bandaid or spayed or nuetered. The Optimum Wellness Plan for my kitten, only really covered his first exam, a rabies shot and his first round of vacinations....or should I say his first and only visit that ended positively. The next time that He was brought in to Banfield was kind of an emergency, my cat was acting very lethargic, and so I got my friend into his carrier and weathered probably the worst morning rainstorm in the history of Charleston, SC to catch the bus and get him to the Banfield Pet Hospital in North Charleston off of Rivers Ave. They took my cat to the back and then brought him almost immediately back to the front and explained to me that he had a blockage in his urethra and that they didnt have the equipment necessary to provide any care for him, and that I needed to take him to the 24 hour Vet in Summerville, SC. I am not in the greatest of financial situations, and at the time of the incident I was kind of recovering from paying all of my monthly bills and wasnt planning on having to get a ride to Summerville, or to now pay for services to another Vet for services I was led to believe I had already paid for at Banfield. I was all teary eyed at this point and couldnt get a hold of my family to get them to help me out with an uber or lyft to get there or how i was going to be able to afford taking him to be seen at this new vets office, but the Vet at Banfield Rivers Ave, after realizing my struggle and out of the kindness of her heart, got an Uber for my kitten and I to Summerville. My kitten ended up having to be put down due to the stresses caused him due to the amount of time that was wasted by taking him to the "Pet Hospital" that is more like a "Pet School Nurses Office" than to the actual 24 hour Pet Hospital place in Summerville. ~$750.00 later, I no longer have the only friend in my life who was my friend for no other reason than just existing. The reason I am writing this Review though, is because Banfield Coorperate sent me a bill for the rest of what I owe for my "Optimum Wellness Plan" on my kitten that they are ultimately responsible for his death, with all of thier terrible usage of terms like "Hospital" and "Optimum Wellness" .....maybe if y'all would've kept him well, I might pay this bill..... but as I see it, y'all owe me $750.00 + Emotional Damages.

Really friendly staff! My senior pup sustained an injury late in the afternoon and, even though Banfield was preparing to close, they told me to bring her by for a quick visit. I arrived right at closing time and the staff was still super patient and caring. They took care of my little girl and didn’t make me feel rushed or guilty for making them stay late. I am so thankful the care my pup received, and also had an amazing customer service experience. So appreciative of the staff and vet who helped me, I will definitely be back to this location!

Our very first visit and the staff was helpful, friendly and warm. Highly reccomend their "plan" for your pet, especially if they're a puppy.
