My two babies love coming to Grand Oaks and seeing Dr. Leggett. The staff does a great job of making you feel heard and respected. They do a thorough job and I’ve always had all of my questions answered. We found out my cat had diabetes recently and the medicine Dr. Leggett put her on has made a world of a difference. We drive across Charleston to see this team and will continue to do so 🤗♥️

Dr Kim Alexander was my dog’s doctor when she lived in NYC. When she moved away I felt like Jerry in the episode of Seinfeld when he lost his honest mechanic. She is the absolute best diagnostician I have ever seen in veterinary medicine. I have never seen her be wrong and just as importantly, she does not waste your time or money to reach her diagnosis. Any time she ever ordered an X-ray or other test, or referred my dog to a specialist, it turned out to be absolutely necessary and produced very important information. She is also refreshingly and brutally honest, and is personally invested in her patients, and gives the same care and thoughtfulness she would give to her own pet. After Dr Alexander moved back to Charleston, I couldn’t find a vet I was happy with until she gave us a referral. We love the doctor she referred us to, but I still miss Dr Alexander and would run back to her immediately if she ever moved back. Charleston is so SO lucky to have her!

I switched vets as they are literally in my neighborhood. My dog needed an allergy shot. The same day she became sick with same symptoms she had few months earlier. Once I arrived, I saw nobody was in there and asked if they could re up her script that they gave her few months ago being same symptoms. They said no she has to be seen. So being I was ONLY patient client in there I said fine. Can he look at her, you can charge me the examination fee so I can just get her medicine 💊. They literally told me to go take her to the ER (which we all know would be hundreds more) if I couldn't wait till Thursday. Keep in mind it's 2:30 in the afternoon. ZERO compassion that my sick dog needed to be seen. ZERO accommodation when there was NOBODY in the waiting room. ZERO consideration I am a monthly client. ZERO care I was willing to pay their "examination fee". ZERO empathy that my dog needed her medication that we BOTH agreed she needed but making me wait till Thursday. I practically begged them. I've owned animals ALL my life. And NEVER if it's a recurring condition (nothing serious, it was upset tummy) would my vet deny me an updated script. NEVER! I am seriously at a loss for words. Update: after I posted my Google review of their business, instead of an apology, they sent me an email telling me they no longer want my business and to let them know where to send both my dogs records to! 😯 Very disappointed in their attitude, customer service, their concern for my sick dog or my business! Bees Ferry Vet right down the street from this place was very happy to squeeze us in to take care of my baby and they don't even know us! 🤷♀️ #volumes

Best vet experience I've had. Friendly and caring from the moment I walked in to the end. Very patient and went back and forth to get me estimates, provided time for me to call my husband, let me stay in my private room throughout. My favorite part was complete patience.

Wonderful care. Service is always so friendly, pre-arrival communication is perfect, and everyone is so knowledgeable and helps to better understand what is going on with sora. i feel fully comfortable with sora in your care. also, the empathy and thoughtfulness of the technicians makes all the difference. I wish I remembered who helped me, but she was so friendly and made what could have been a stressful experience much easier Thank you! ♥️

I was extremely pleased with the cleanliness and setup of the facility. It's large, comfortable, and newly built. The front office staff was personable, as well as thoughtful, making a special accommodation for my son's therapy cat to be seen last minute out of concern he could take a turn for the worse over the weekend. When we arrived both the veterinarian and the vet tech had such a reassuring presence it was a tremendous comfort to me and my very sick kitty. My pet's condition and treatment were well explained and they generously worked with me to keep within my budget. It only took that appointment for me to decide to make them our new primary clinic. My sincere thanks go to Dr. Leggett and his staff for the wonderful care provided to my sick furry family member. He's doing incredibly well and making a fast recovery.
