Wonderful place to take your fur babies! I do TNR and Operation Catnip makes it affordable so that I can continue to trap and help feral cats. I trapped a feral cat that had a damaged eye, they were able to remove the eye and take care of the pain that that poor cat had been in for who knows how long! She has healed up nicely and soon will be adopted out hopefully. Working on getting her friendlier so that she can be a great pet for that special someone out there. Love Operation Catnip!😻
What an amazing job they do at this nonprofit! The people who work for Operation Catnip are kind and hard-working. We are so thankful to have them here in Gainesville to help community cats.
Operation Catnip is truly a lifesaving organization. Every staff member is an absolute angel, dedicated to helping and saving the lives of countless cats. Their compassion and commitment are unmatched, and I cannot thank them enough for the incredible work they do.
Front office staff is very nice. The only problem is very strong cat urine smell when you walk in the door. It would be nice if this could be fixed. Other than that I support the feral cats! And they have nice t-shirts you can purchase and other items to help support Operation Cat Nip.
The webpage of loaning a cat trap never mentioned an appointment. I called the office 2 times and never received an answer, so I went in person. In the parking lot, I could see about 10 cat traps sitting outside being unused. I asked to make my deposit because I have a stray cat outside my apartment complex that needs to see a vet asap. She told me I would have to wait until October 10th, which is in a month. Meanwhile traps are sitting in the hallway and outside. This place clearly does not care about community cats because if they did they would have let me loan a trap to save this cat.
This is a wonderful organization! We had to surrender our cat for various reasons, and he was transferred to Operation Catnip. Melissa was very kind in keeping me updated on Popeye's status. Today he was adopted. He was in the best hands!
