Everything about this place is top notch! We are from out of state and needed help with our dog. My wife cared for Buddy for almost 14 years but it was time to let him go. Buddy had been at her side during some difficult periods. It was heartbreaking for me to watch her say goodbye and I was on edge at first. I even snapped at one of the sweet ladies helping. Their kindness, professionalism, and even patience with me was exceptional. To the vet, and to the other professionals who helped - thank you.

Caring and compassionate quality care is what you’ll get here. All four of my dogs are taken care of by Coronado Pet Hospital. All have been seen by Dr. Smith. We had a JRT who was at the end stage of her life last year (she has since passed) and I can’t stress enough how caring and compassionate Dr. Smith was with our dog and us. This hospital is always busy and Dr. Smith seemed especially exhausted, but she always took the time to see our dog and treated her as if she were her own dog. We will always be grateful for her care. We recently rescued a mini Aussie puppy who is very fearful. Everyone has been patient and caring with her as well. She’ll be going in for her spay soon. A friend tried to get me to go to another vet saying they are low cost, but I don’t trust any other place with my dogs’ health. I also have a 4 lb yorkie and two chihuahuas (5 and 6 lb). My 6 lb chihuahuas will be going in for his dental in a week. Each time I’ve gone in, from the front office staff to the techs to the docs, all have been friendly, helpful and showed genuine care for my dogs. Extra kudos to the front office staff, who have to deal with us sometimes panicked and stressed out pet parents, not only in person, but also over the phone.

Wonderful place for kind pet care and end of life care/passing. When we had to transition our pet, they got us in quickly, provided so much empathy and love and understanding. They gave our dog a final meal of whipped cream and cheese, put hearts on the bandages on her leg for the catheter puncture, sedated her and we saw her relax, and quickly helped her pass. They gave us all the time and Kleenex we needed and lots of hugs. So grateful for their heart, their knowledge and their understanding at a difficult time. Highly recommend.

We took our elderly, ailing dog here and he was treated with kindness, love, and care. When his health declined even more, we chose to take him back and we said our final goodbyes to him after they gave him more love and treats. They were sad along with us and we feel Coronado Pet Hospital was the best place for him to be treated and he left us at ease. Thank you for helping us through a very difficult time.

The people at the Coronado Pet Hospital are the kindest souls on the planet. Dr. Powers and company saved my baby: Simba’s life. We were so lucky to be near them when my 17 yo Tibetan Spaniel experienced a near death breathing/stroke episode. They acted so quickly and expertly when we knocked on the door without any warning. It is Albuquerque metropolitans fortune to have them service them. Thank you so much. Eternally grateful!

Over the last 15 years, our four fur kids have been well taken care of by Dr. Smith, Carli and the vet tech staff. Dr. Smith is compassionate and takes the time to explain everything and has gone above and beyond in caring for our elderly pets. The staff are friendly, professional and are always happy to see our pets. Coronado Pet hospital has made us better dog parents and we sincerely appreciate their dedication.
