Had an appointment for my puppy to be groomed here and was turned away. Wanted only shots from the Vet which it does state on the website I read after. My puppy first set of shots was given by the breeder. However, not that I was turned away about the vaccines but that the person/groomer/manager didn't even bother to come out of the office to talk to me about it. Felt like they just didn't want to keep me as a customer. Front desk person not friendly at all.
After more than a decade of taking my dogs to Pet Paradise (formerly known as Enchantment Pet Resort), I have come to the realization that they are no longer the same compassionate facility they once were. The situation that occurred today was the final straw. They have failed to demonstrate that their customers are their top priority, which is a disappointment to both me and the community. All of the recent negative reviews about them are accurate, and this is coming from a loyal customer of many years.
The customer service is unprofessional. Our dog isn’t well socialized, so we were unable to make good use of our doggy daycare pass. When we bought the pass, no one explained to us that our dog’s personality would limit her to spending basically all of her time in a crate; she was not able to play with the other dogs. That was understandable, but we weren’t made aware either that there is an expiration on our pass. So we took a break to see if we could better socialize our dog. In the meantime, the pass expired. Unable to get our dog to the point we were confident she could benefit from daycare, we asked for a refund. Management explained they would still consider our pass valid, even though expired, but would not issue a refund, and tried to blame previous staff for not explaining limitations. If they still recognize the value of the pass, why not refund the value? It can’t have been long expired when we first contacted them. When I first requested a refund, they said they’d call back and then left me hanging for 2 weeks. Be sure to ask for names when communicating with staff, otherwise they will let your issue drop and leave you hanging.
We have been going to pet paradise for 4 years. Started off great, very pleased. Board our dog 4 days a month. Over the past year or 2 new employee's and many issues. Cameras stopped working, our pet came home with big cut on foot...Then big slice above ear by eye. No call no comment. When asked, oh we don't know what happened. Last visit our quote changed drastically when picked up, by over a 100 dollars...and we were given back food ??? We inquired about why our dog was not fed. No response. Called to speak with manager, new no response just blew us off. Called corporate office 3 times and documented all.. Informed we would get a resolve and call back. Each time no response. A regional will call you. They just blow you off never call. Bottom line went from a great place a plus to an F in less than 2 years. Changing places.. Note: Inspect your dog or cat when pick up and try to verify they are eating and or taking meds.
I highly recommend Pet Paradise in Rio Rancho NM for several reasons. My dogs show me thru their actions and behaviors, that they really enjoy going there. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about dogs and handling different breeds and behaviors. We have taken our previous 2 dogs to Pet Paradise and when they passed away at the beginning of the year, within 4 months of each other (one from Lymphoma cancer and the other I believe, a broken heart) Pet Paradise was so thoughtful in sending a condolence card that the staff had signed. Having had senior pets, I was worried that they wouldn't take as good of care of them as of course we do, and they really did. They paid careful attention to detail with needed medications, etc. I also love that they don't bend the rules when it comes to required vaccinations. We have to protect our furbabies, and the fact that they hold to that firmly is reassuring. Now that we have 2 new rescues to love and spoil, Pet Paradise is the only place they will go.
This was my husband and I first time experiencing pet paradise and we were greeted with terrible customer service by Aiden Weinstein. Pet paradise had receipt of us booking for two rooms. Aiden instead charged us for three rooms and wouldn’t take the time out to realize his mistake. Drea had to mention to Aiden about the rooms for him to even proceed to help us with the problem. Aiden Weinstein decided to become more unprofessional once the correct information was put in the system. He went to print out my receipt looked at it and stapled it. He noticed the receipt had little to no ink on it. He proceeded to hand the receipt to me anyway. I had to ask him for a new receipt because I couldn’t see the numbers or print which I know he couldn’t either. I will never bring my dogs to Pet Paradise again. Terrible service!
