The staff here are the most sincere people I've ever met in a shelter. They truly care about the dogs at their shelter. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. A lot of amazing dogs are available for adoption there, too. I adopted my husky mix there, and she is an amazing girl. We visit often because she loves to see them too. On a side note people need to realize this is County Run Shelter. City found animals are contracted by Tri Cities Animal Control, not a County run Shelter. PASCO IS FRANKLIN COUNTY NOT BENTON LEARN YOUR MAPS AND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COUNTY JURISDICTION AND CITY LIMITS. ALSO, IF YOU HAVE A SICK PERSONALLY OWNED ANIMAL TAKE IT TO A VETERINARIAN OR SURRENDER TO BENTON FRANKLIN HUMANE SOCIETY..... JS

This animal shelter run by the county seems to be doing a great job. On ny visit found it to be kept very clean and well maintained. There was no animal waste visible and no overpowering smell. All the animals seemed well taken care of and had toys and beds in the kennels. The workers were very nice to deal with and happy to answer all the questions that we had to the best of their ability. If you're looking to adopt a dog, this is a place that is worth looking at.

Over 4 years ago we adopted the ost prescious Staffordshire female, about 7 months old. Her name, Trixie. She had beautiful blue eyes, a very contagious smile and she loved to talk to us. She had a heart murmur but that didn't matter to us. She had her meds and they helped her to live a fun, happy life. She was so very loving, full of life and was always ready to go somewhere. She lost her battle with her heart problem just gave out 3 days ago. We miss her so much. And we owe Benton County Canine Shelter for our sweet, loving, happy Trixie. The knew exactly what we needed in our home with her brother, Riley, our Doberman. I have asked them, Josh, to look for a Trixie sister. Riley had passed away a little over 3 years ago so we rescued a sweet, lovable, good natured Doberman, Beau. They were inseparable. He is grieving along with us. We always adopt a rescue & Benton County Canine Shelter is caring and they seem to have a wonderful a great passion for paring these canines with the best famlies. Thank you for our sweet loving Trixie. ❤🐾🐾 Bill & Nancy

Great customer service! We adopted a very cute German shepard puppy here. The staff at the cainine shelter were very kind and it was very fair pricing. These guys will actually pick up the phone everytime but the humane society never answered after calling several times over 5 hours. Fantastic place to adopt a puppy!
