What can you say about Morgan and her team, other than we wish there were more of them. Pet Matchmaker is an amazingly dedicated rescue.
Communication is not great. On their website it says they receive several hundred applications but at the very least they should update the pets online as "adopted" so those who applied for adoption can know to move along. They never answer the phone or reply back to emails, so you just never know what's going on unless your the lucky individual selected for their pets. I applied, never heard anything for 3 days, then go back to their website and the pictures of the puppies are all gone. Thanks for nothing, pet Matchmaker. Work on your communication.
Even in the midst of the pandemic, Pet Matchmaker went above and beyond to make sure that they were finding the perfect home for adorable little Pierre with us. I can’t thank them enough for their efficient communication and for making the process of adoption go so smoothly. He is an amazing dog and we are so lucky to have him! I fully appreciate that they take the time to go though all applications and that that process can take time. It’s totally worth it!
Pet Matchmaker goes above and beyond in our community. We have rescued and fostered with them, and their efforts do not go unnoticed. Their volunteers spend countless hours reviewing applications, pulling from shelters, training, fostering and caring for deserving animals. Animals are vetted and healthy when they are ready to find their new homes. Please remember they have a ton of applicants to comb through - be kind, and patient. Thanks for all you do PMMR!!
The way they run the process is a complete horrible experience. You fill out applicatiin, wait for days/weeks, to see if you are one of the lucky ones chosen. Never let you know if you weren't, they just remove dogs off website, I guess, when they have been adopted. An email atleast, the bare least, telling an applicant they were sorry but the dog you applied for has been adopted would be nice.
Never even responded to my application or emails to let me know they didn't want me for any of their dogs. I make good money, am home most of the day, have a big yard, and I've never even been pulled over. Regardless, it would've been nice for them to at least let me know they don't think I'm a good fit for any of their dogs.
