We recently adopted Griffin. The process was simple. We put in an application online and once approved we went to their adoption event at Petsmart in Lady Lake. Everyone was so helpful and patient while we took some time with a few kitty’s to see which was a good match for us. Thank you so much to Sheltering Hands for our new family member, Griffin.

I have been socializing a small feral cat colony for a year, at risk of traffic and being killed by the property owner, , the Mom cat dropped 2 litters back to back, becoming 8 cats, all were trapped, spayed and neutered except one elusive daughter cat, she herself becoming pregnant, a last ditch effort to grab her as she was heavily pregnant, Sheltering Hands got her in almost immediately, they took great care of her, explained everything after surgery, She is safe now and will never have more kittens, contributing to the overpopulation of cats and breeding to death. This is a great organization. They do this county a great service, It takes a village and i am glad we are on the same side. Shown are the elusive cat (tiger) and her black family members.

Hands down... the most compassionate and caring animal welfare organization, out there. We have used them for a decade and we love them more every time we work with them!! Class Act! They have spayed/neutered many hundreds of cats for the organization I run. The ones you see here are just a few!

The staff and the facility at Sheltering Hands are wonderful. They made sure we were completely informed about our new kitty. She is a real sweetheart and had clearly been treated with careful love and attention during her adoption period. Over a number of years, we have adopted about 12 rescue cats and have a number of friends who work with animals (vets and techs). The whole process at Sheltering Hands rated among the top adoption experiences we've had. Thanks to everyone involved!
