Took my service dog here I dont even remember how long ago she was yanked and lifted up by a slip leash and when my dog became fearful and showed signs of being scared and shut down the owner told me she's not a service dog yet myself service dog has now been fully trained for 2 yrs with ZERO help from the trainer that ran this place my service dog now has a patch of fur that WILL NOT grow back if i could giver zero stars I would my dog has now done better under my guidance do not go here if you love your dog

Google Maps had previously stated Boykin kennel is closed permanently, it is NOT. Boykin Kennel has been around for years. Carol the owner has been with Boykin Kennel for 25 years. That's a lot of years of experience she knows what she's doing.... she's all about dogs....her entire life is about dogs... she also rescues dogs. She loves all the dogs as if their her very own and gives them lots of love and care.

My dog Lucy 🐕 enjoyed her 14 day stay. I guess if you're a dog and plenty of space and outdoors and other dogs to bark with all day

You can tell Carol really cares about animals. She always takes good care of my 2 dogs. I've even called her last minute and she's always able to help me out. Plus it's a local business. What's not to love?

This photo was taken by my girlfriend, who had picked up our dog after her time out of state. Cee-Cee did not have these lesions on her nose before her visit to Boykin Kennels; their explanation was "She tipped over her food and attempted to bury it in the concrete." A dog rubbing her nose in concrete perhaps once wouldn't garner this sort of injury. Multiple times, however, you can see that her nose is raw. This shows that Boykin had done absolutely nothing in order to stop Cee-Cee from harming herself, which is a mark of a negligent boarding facility. if Boykin can't be sure to keep your dog safe from herself, should you really be boarding her there?

Carol watched my dogs for six days while I was out of state. They were well cared for and will be returning the next time I have to leave for a prolonged period.
